Awsten's P.O.V
Audrey went to bed about an hour and a half ago, leaving Geoff, Otto and I alone in the lounge area. Jawn came back from the bathroom.
"She's sleeping like a log." He says, leaving the small corridor. "So, what did you guys do? What was the occasion?" Jawn asked, smiling.
I blushed a little at his question. "We went bowling." I simply say, trying to ignore the other question.
"And the occasion?" Jawn smirks.
"...date." I mumble.
"I knew it!" Jawn silently yells.
"So that's why you glared at me when I wanted to come!" Geoff says.
"Mhm..."
"That's so cute! You guys are cute together. Also, holy shit, didn't you guys only just meet?" Otto says.
"It wasn't a very serious date! It was like a... 3/4 friend date, 1/4 more than friends. I don't think I'm ready for another relationship and I'm not even sure of my feelings for her yet. And I don't know if she wants a relationship at all, and I don't know her feelings towards me, so." I explain.
"Hm. I don't think she's ready either." Otto says. "Her last boyfriend was fucking terrible. Like real bad. And you witnessed that the other night."
"Yea." I say.
Guess we'll wait and see, huh.I was alone in the lounge, unable to sleep. I was too excited and nervous: excited because of our date and hoping we could go on more, but nervous because I have no idea how she really feels. Plus, her old boyfriend was a dickhead. I saw it. And I overheard something the other night- maybe it was about that, but I'm not sure. All I know is I heard Otto and Audrey talking, and it seemed to be about a delicate subject. I wonder why she didn't talk to me about her ex yet? I mean, I helped her back then and I kind of know a bit about how he acts already, she could tell me, right? Maybe she doesn't feel alright with telling me yet. That's ok, I can wait.
I hear a thud come from the bunk area followed by a quiet "ow", and it really sounded like Audrey had hit her head, causing me to silently giggle. I get up and walk over to her bunk. I slightly pull the curtain, making her jump.
"Jesus, Awsten, you scared me." She whispers.
"I can see that, sorry. Did you hit your head?" I smile.
"...yea. Stop laughing."
"I'm not laughing!" I say.
"But you want too."
"I do." I slightly chuckle.
"Ugh. Whatever, nerd! Go back to bed." She says, rubbing her head some more.
"Bold of you to assume I went to bed in the first place!"
She gives me a worried look. "Why? Is something wrong?"
"No! Not at all! It's a good thing that's keeping me up."
"Oh." Her looks soften. "New album from a good band dropping or something?"
"No."
"I'm out of ideas then."
"I'm too excited about our, um, date, too sleep."
She smiles and even if it's dark, I can feel that she's blushing.
"Anyways, scoot over. I'm going to bed now." I say, motioning her to move.
"What, here?"
"Yes."
"Sheesh, ok." She says, moving to get closer to the wall and facing it.
I climb in, squeezing in the small space as best as I could. I gathered all my courage and put my body against hers, sliding my arm around her. She didn't seem to dislike it, in fact, she seemed to enjoy it, as she squeezed a little closer. My body was hella warm and hers was super cold, so I warmed her up and she cooled me down, the perfect match.
"Just- just making sure," I stutter, "is this ok with you?"
"Yea." I can feel her smile.
"Ok, cool."
"Goodnight loser." She whispers.
"Goodnight nerd."
I wish we could stay like this for ever.Shit. I was in the meet & greet when I looked over to the glass doors in the back and saw the last person we wanted here. Surprisingly, it's not my ex-girlfriend today.
As soon as we head backstage after the meet & greet, I pull the guys to the side.
"Something wrong?" Geoff asks.
"Jason."
The guys' eyes widened.
"Shit. What do we do?" Otto says.
"Blacklist him, obviously." I say.
"We don't know his last name. And is it the best idea to worry Audrey by mentioning him?" Geoff mentions.
"Maybe she tagged him in old posts?"
"If she blocked him, they might've disappeared." Geoff explains.
"Shit. And we obviously can't blacklist everyone named Jason." I state.
"Maybe we show security a picture of him and they don't let him in?" Otto says.
"We can try, yea."
And that's what we did, hopefully it'll work.Good news, and bad news. The good one is: it did work! He wasn't in the crowd. Bad news: he found us after the show, and he wants to talk to Audrey again. We sent her in the bus with Lucas and Otto, while the rest of us stayed outside to set things clear with him.
"Dude, just stay away from her, us, and the tour in general. It's not hard. She doesn't want to talk to you." I tell the bumhole.
"If she doesn't want to talk to me, let her tell me herself."
"She already did."
"I don't recall it."
"Too bad."
He takes a few steps forwards. "Just let me talk to her a little."
"No. Don't make me get security involved."
"What? Too much of a wuss to fight yourself?" He says, smirking.
"In another situation, I would, but unfortunately I can't, since I have a job to do."
"All of you and that music stuff. That shit is so lame. Get a real job." He mumbles.
"And you get another pastime than harassing your ex, ok buddy?" I sarcastically smile.
"Don't tell me what to do." Jason states.
"Well you don't-"
"Awsten." Jawn says, grabbing me by my shoulder and pulling me back to my senses.
"Just stop trying to see her, Jason." I say, calmly.
"I see. So, she's with you now? Already with someone else? That slut, of course she is. And you don't even know what she did. She-"
The guys couldn't stop me from my next action.
