Awsten's P.O.V

"Thank you so much for the gifts, Audrey, but we told you not to get us anything! Unbelievable!" My mom says, shaking her head. "Is she always such a rule breaker?" She asks me.
"Nope. Never. Didn't know you even had it in you, Audrey." I answer.
"Well..." Audrey shrugs. "I guess I like being a little rebellious." She giggles.
"Well, thank you anyways, it's really sweet of you." My mom thanks Audrey.
"Yea, thank you so much." My dad says.
"It's no big deal." Audrey looks at her feet, smiling and fiddling with her sleeve.
"Well, this was fun, thanks for the gifts, Audrey let's go!" I stand up, giving my parents and sister hugs to thank them.
"Where?" Audrey asks, confused. "Oh, yea! Ok." She stands up. "Thank you for this great Christmas." She smiles.
"Of course, honey. You're very welcome into this family anytime you want." My mom says.
"Great, thank you." Audrey says before I pull her arm. "Chill, I'm coming."

"So like, how do I dress?" Audrey asks, kneeling in front of her suitcase.
"Uhhh... something that's both casual and fancy, you know? Cause, I don't know where we're going yet." I say, looking through my own bag.
"As long as it's not crawfish..." She chuckles.
"Don't worry, it's not ." I shake my head, smiling.
I pick out a black button up and some black jeans. That's casual and fancy, right? Yea.
"I'm gonna change in the bathroom, you in here, ok?"
"Sure."

"You decent?" I ask through the door.
"Yep!" I hear Audrey reply.
"Cool." I come in.
Audrey was wearing a black, loose spaghetti-strap dress with a white t-shirt under it and some tights.
"Casual and fancy enough?" She asks, showing her outfit.
"Perfect. Ok, let's go, we're going to be late!"
"Late to what?"
"Nothing."
She giggles and pulls out a warm jacket from her bag.
"Alright, let's go." She says.
And so we head out.

"Oo, how about we start this date with a walk in the park?" I ask, looking out the window.
"Sure!"
I find a parking spot and we leave the car.
We walk around for a bit before she stops.
"Oh yea, I got you something, I don't know when would be an appropriate time to give it to you, so..." She pulls out a little box from her purse. "Here you go. Merry Christmas!" She hands it to me.
I smile and unwrap the package. I open it and find a silver ring engraved with little stars all around it.
"Oh, wow." I say, amazed. "Thank you." I look at her, smiling. "Didn't I say something small, though?"
"Is a ring not small enough? Crap. Maybe I should've gotten you a grain of sand after all!" She shrugs. "Too late now, though."
"I meant price wise and you know that!" I argue.
"Should've been more precise." She smiles.
"I should've. Well, thank you anyways. I love it." I hug her. "I'd totally kiss you right now, but after yesterday, I'm too scared."
"S'ok." She hugs me back.
We separate and I put the ring back in it's box.
"I'll get it fitted once we're back in LA."
"Nice."
And with that we continue our walk.
