Audrey's P.O.V

I am awake. It's 10am. Not bad at all. Oh shit, it's Christmas today. Wait, no it's not. It's Christmas Eve, I am an idiot.
I get up and get ready then head out of Awsten's room, looking for him.
I turn to the kitchen and there he is.
"Bonjour! That's how you say it, right?" He greets me.
"Oui. Bonjour." I smile, pulling a chair.
"Would you like some pancakes? I was waiting for you." He says as I sit down.
"I'd love that, let me help." I start standing up but he gently pushes me back down.
"No, no. Let me do this. It'll take a second."
"Awsten, let me help."
"Let me think- no." He smiles and walks to the fridge.
I get up and walk over.
"Come on. Where are the pans?"
"I'm not telling you."
"Fine." I start opening the cabinets until I find them. "Aha!" I pull out two.
"Thank you for the help, now go sit."
I shake my head and place the pans on the stove.
"Do you have the recipe?" I ask.
"Uh, no, wait." He pulls out his phone. "Regular pancakes sound good?"
"Yes."
He types on his phone.
"Got it." He puts his phone on the counter and opens the fridge. "Ah shit, we don't have any milk."
"Crap. Now what?" I say.
"Well, there's this brunch place that's pretty good, if you want." He shrugs.
"Just buying milk isn't an option?"
"Hmmm... no." He smiles.
"Alright, brunch place it is."

"That was so good. Maybe not buying milk was the right choice to make."
"I told you."
"We should still get milk though."
"Absolutely."
We started walking down the street to the grocery store when we heard someone call Awsten's name. We turned around and saw a fan.
"I'm sorry, can I just get a quick picture?" The fan says.
Awsten and I look at each other.
"Sure, I don't mind." He says with a small smile.
"Want me to take it for you?" I ask.
"Please." They hand me their phone.
I snap a few pictures. "Here you go!" I smile, handing over the phone.
"Thank you so much, merry Christmas!" They walk away.
Awsten and I continue our walk.
"They were sweet."
"Yea." He shrugs.
We walk in the grocery store.

"What do you want to do now?" Awsten asks me as we leave the store and walk back to his car which was parked a bit further.
"You're asking me? I've never been to Houston."
"Well, as a general activity, I don't know!"
"I should probably get something for your parents and sister for Christmas, so... shopping?" I suggest.
"They said no gifts."
"Hospitality gift."
"What about my sister?" He asks, walking around his car.
"She's nice, and she didn't say anything about gifts. I should probably get you something too." I open the car door.
"No, you already got me something."
"Dude, that stuff was worth like, 25$, you got me a whole ass cat."
"It was a group gift!" He defends himself.
"Uh, a very expensive one! Let me just get you another little something, come on. And you gotta help me pick gifts for your fam."
"Fine. A little something." He finally agrees.
I smile. Well, now I have to find what I'll get him.

Awsten and I were walking down a street filled with small boutiques and people like me looking for last minute gifts.
"Ok, now go away while I find your gift!" I playfully push Awsten.
"Okay, okay, no need to get aggressive!" He laughs. "And remember, a little something. LITTLE."
"Yea, yea, little. Got it." I smile.
"Text me when you're done, I'm going to go sit in that Starbucks. See you later."
"Bye." I smile as we part ways.
Yes, I am getting something small. He never specified if he meant physically small or money wise small, therefore, I am getting him a ring.
It's a really nice one and I hope he likes it. I saw it earlier while we were getting earrings for his mom (his idea). It's a basic shape, but it's engraved all around with little stars. It's very pretty.
I walk in the store.
"Hello again." The lady behind the counter greets me with a smile.
"Hello." I smile back.
"What can I help you with?"
"I saw this ring earlier, uhh..." I look around the little glass box. "This one, with the stars. I wanted to get it for my boyfriend?"
"Great choice." She says, opening the box and taking the ring out. "Once you give it to him, come back here, or any jewelry store really, and get it fit." She puts the ring in a little box.
"Will do."
I swipe my card. Yes, a small gift. He's probably going to be upset I spent so much but, worth it, right?
"Here you go." She hands me the paper bag.
"Thank you, have a nice day!"
"You too!"
I walk out of the store. I can't wait for his reaction. I hope he likes it!
