Awsten's P.O.V

"So, how did it go with your parents?" I ask Audrey.
"Went alright." She smiles, talking another bite of her McFlurry.
"Cool." I smile.
It was silent. I couldn't tell what the vibe of this silent quite was. Awkward? Comfortable? Normal? Maybe we just had nothing to say.
"Mm! Did you like poutine?" She says.
"Oh, yea. It was good."
"Not to say that I told you so, but..."
"You told me so."
"I did." She giggles.
"You're having fun? On tour? Is it all you expected?"
"Yea! It's really fun. Very tiring. I'm going to miss being on tour, but I can not wait to sleep in my own bed."
"Speaking about beds, we're going to be staying in a hotel tomorrow night. I think that's what Lucas told me anyways." I say.
"Fun! I think."
"Yea, it usually feels good to sleep on the beds, even if they're not always the best."
"I can only imagine." She laughs.
"Yea." I pass a hand through my hair. My own hand, I mean. "Once, there was a hole in my window. Probably a bullet hole." I laugh.
"Yikes." Her grin grew wider. Gosh, she's stunning even when her hair is all messed up from performing and that she just had a long day. Oops, I'm rambling. And I accidentally leaned in a little bit.
"Yea, it was pretty bad. My room was so cold."
She chuckles. "Well, I'm done." She gets up and throws away her now empty cup. "Let's go?"
"Yea."
We left the McDonald's and started walking down the street in a now comfortable silence. Go me, able to identify silences! Is that even a good thing?
I slowly take her hand in mine.
"Is this, uh." I blush. "Is this ok?" I look into her eyes.
"Yea.." She gives me a soft smile.
"Cool." Wow, Awsten. Amazing choice of words there.
We walk up to the bus door, where we stand face to face to each other for a bit, staring into each other's eyes.
"Are you going to open the door or should I?" She whispers.
"Oh, uh, yeah." I chuckle. "Sorry."
She giggles. I don't care how cheesy this is, but it is literally music to my ears. I'd play this on loop if I could.
We climb into the bus.
"Hey people." She says. I just quickly wave.
"Hey. Enjoyed your ice cream?" Geoff asks.
"As good as always." She smiles.
"It's freezing, I really don't understand you." Jawn says.
"I like ice cream, weather isn't going to stop me." She shrugs.
"Did you take any Aws?" Red head asks. That's Jawn, if you were unaware.
"Hm? No." I shake my head.

It is now 12:31am. I am by myself in the lounge. This is unusual, usually I'm the first one asleep. Or with Audrey since she barely sleeps. Poor her. I'm feeling a little down. My computer is opened in front of me, my secret project is on the screen. And by secret project, I mean book. I hear some movement coming from the bunks, closing me to close my tab. Audrey comes out of the bunk corridor, computer and earbuds in.
"I knew it was you." She whispers with a smile.
"How?"
"I have magic powers! Anyways, I finished working on this song and, obviously it's not fully ready but, I like it. I'd like your opinion on it, if you don't mind? It's the first time I really make an angry song, so... also I did record the vocals in a bathroom."
I chuckle at that last remark. "Uh, sure."
She hands me the two earbuds and presses play.

"Wow, that's really good." I remove the earbuds from my ears.
"That's it?" She asks.
"I like the energy. It's different from your other stuff, and I think it really expresses what your feeling." I explain.
She smiles. "Thank you. I never really wrote about my feelings in depth, so I'm glad this turned out well. What about lyric wise?"
"Again, I think it really expresses what you're feeling. Oh and, if you make a music video for it, I suggest you find him and stick a stick up his ass." I smile.
"Good idea." She giggles. "Well, I'm going to bed now. What are you doing up, by the way?"
"It's my turn being unable to sleep." I give her a half smile.
"Oh. Well, this friend of mine and I have this thing when I'm unable to sleep, if you wanna try it out?" She nudges me in the arm.
I smile. "Yea."
"Come on then." She gets up and walk towards her bunk.
Fuck this ready or not bullshit.
I think...
I think that I
