Lan Zhan was happy but remembered how he added many red peppers into the porridge (in their other version) and hesitated... After a moment, he simply nodded his head.
Wei Ying grinned and started gobbling down food. "Lan Zhan, where did you go just now?" Lan Zhan placed down his chopsticks and replied "CaiYi Town"
"Oh, you returned quickly" Wei Ying responded and Lan Zhan replied "Mn" before continuing eating.
Lan Zhan had rushed to CaiYi Town to stock up on lots of Tian Zi Xiao, lots of Wei Ying's favourite preserved snacks and bought some spicy dishes for dinner today. He finished storing the items under his room's floor and prepared dinner on the tray just as Wei Ying woke up. He didn't want to be late for Wei Ying's dinner.
Lan Zhan watched as Wei Ying happily ate up, feeling a sense of accomplishment and happiness.
"Say, I moaned so loudly at the Cold Spring, do you think anyone else heard?" Wei Ying suddenly asked curiously. Lan Zhan halted then calmly replied "I doubt so"
Wei Ying then continued "Lan Zhan, just imagine if a disciple walked past us or heard me calling out your name... isn't that embarrassing for you?"
Wei Ying then giggled uncontrollably as he said "It'll be worse if it's Old Mister-... if it's ShuFu or brother-in-law!"
Lan Zhan shook his head and continued eating, but his ears turned slightly pink. Even though it didn't matter much to him, it would indeed be embarrassing. Besides, he didn't want anyone else to look at Wei Ying's body or hear his pleasant moans either.
The next 4 days, they spent most of their time at the Room of Forbidden Books, then the Cold Spring, followed by the JingShi. They had the same routine, going to these three places (mainly to relax, study and sleep but occasionally did some exciting activities) and without fail, Lan Zhan would cuddle Wei Ying to sleep every night.
They then travelled back to Lotus Pier for the wedding. Wei Ying and Lan Zhan insisted for it to be lowkey and simple. That was enough for them, especially at such a timing with Wen Sect.
It is a tradition that they shouldn't meet a night before the wedding ceremony. On that night, Wei Ying hugged Lan Zhan tightly. "Lan Zhan, I'm going to miss you" Wei Ying whined cutely.
Jiang Cheng stood by the side "Wei WuXian! You're just separating for the night! You can see him tomorrow, it's not like you're separating forever!"
Jiang Yanli giggled as Wei Ying stuck out his tongue at Jiang Cheng. However, Lan Zhan turned Wei Ying's face and gave him a deep kiss. Jiang Yanli embarrassedly excused herself while Jiang Cheng blushed and stormed off.
"Lan... Lan Zhan... huff" Wei Ying panted. Lan Zhan looked at Wei Ying and couldn't help but want more.
Lan Zhan's breath got heavy. "Tomorrow"
"Mn, tomorrow Lan Zhan, I can't wait. I'm so nervous" Wei Ying said, hugging Lan Zhan tightly again.
"Me too" Lan Zhan said as he took a deep breath and exhaled. "Wei Ying, I love you"
Wei Ying smiled and teasingly rubbed Lan Zhan's groin. "Lan Zhan, I love you too." Then, with a peck on the lips, Wei Ying said "See you tomorrow!" and escaped, leaving Lan Zhan stunned there.
'It's fine...' Lan Zhan thought 'Tomorrow and everyday after that I'll be able to hold you...'
That night, Wei Ying was so nervous he tossed and turned in bed. To make it worse, Lan Zhan wasn't there to hold him.
Lan Zhan wasn't any better. He was so happy, nervous and excited that his daily routine wasn't enough to help him sleep.
Wei Ying got up and headed over to Lan Zhan's room. After knocking, Wei Ying asked softly. "Lan Zhan, are you sleeping yet?"
Lan Zhan got up and Wei Ying who heard shuffling noises immediately exclaimed "Lan Zhan! Don't come out! I just couldn't sleep... Let me talk to you till I feel sleepy."
Lan Zhan nodded his head, forgetting Wei Ying couldn't see him. "Lan Zhan, won't you reply me and talk to me?"
Lan Zhan couldn't see Wei Ying but could imagine him pouting as he said that sentence. "Mn" Lan Zhan replied as he sat at the entrance of the door, watching Wei Ying lean against the other side of the door through his shadow.
"Wei Ying, I miss you" Lan Zhan said, bringing smiles to Wei Ying's face.
Wei Ying relaxed after listening to Lan Zhan's voice. "Lan Zhan, I miss you too, I couldn't sleep without you beside me."
"Me too" Lan Zhan said then got up. "Lan Zhan! Don't leave me yet!" Wei Ying immediately said.
"I won't" Lan Zhan replied. Wei Ying turned around to watch Lan Zhan's shadow, then smiled as he leaned back against the door.
Lan Zhan walked back and sat in the same position, with his qin on his lap. Lan Zhan then started playing the song "Wu Ji".
Wei Ying closed his eyes and enjoyed the melody. He started humming to it but soon after, went silent. Lan Zhan finished the song and softly asked "Wei Ying, are you asleep?"
Wei Ying who had fallen asleep did not reply. Lan Zhan quietly opened his door and smiled as he saw Wei Ying asleep.
Lan Zhan squatted beside Wei Ying and caressed his face, kissed his forehead and lips, then princess carried him back to his room. After tucking him in bed, Lan Zhan couldn't help but climb into his bed and cuddle him.
After squeeze hugging Wei Ying a few times, showering his face with endless kisses and staring at his sleeping face for some time, Lan Zhan then reluctantly returned to his assigned room.
And so, after a long night, the day they had been waiting for finally arrived.
