Chapt 85 - Wedding

Morning came and Lan Zhan as usual woke up at 5am. He prepared himself and waited. Despite his calm face, he was feeling very nervous and excited.

When Wei Ying woke up, he rushed to get ready. He sat on his bed, nervously fidgeting about, waiting for Lan Zhan to come and fetch him.

Finally! The door opened. He looked with widened eyes and anticipation but got disappointed. "Jiang Cheng! Why is it you?!"

Jiang Cheng felt like hitting him "It isn't even time yet, why are you so disappointed?!"

ShiJie then said "A-Xian, you're getting married before the both of us!" Wei Ying smiled and happily said "ShiJie, don't worry. It's your turn next year!"

However, seeing Jiang Cheng and Yanli's shocked faces, Wei Ying covered his mouth with both hands. "Errr..."

"Is that part of the future you went through?" Jiang Yanli asked. Jiang FengMian had told Yu ZiYuan and the two of them that they saw the future and experienced it, but only revealed bad Wen Sect, bad Jin GuangYao, the annihilation of Yunmeng Jiang Sect and about Wei Ying.

Wei Ying nodded his head and Jiang Cheng got nervous. "What about me..." Wei Ying stifled a laugh. "Jiang Cheng, you were still single after 13 years! Hahaha!"

Jiang Cheng was about to smack him when Wei Ying said "But! Don't worry, it'll change soon." Jiang Cheng blushed and mumbled "How would you know?!", even though he liked what he heard.

Jiang Yanli then said "Alright, Lan Er Gong Zi will be coming soon. Let's get ready." Jiang Yanli and a few other disciples then started decorating Wei Ying's room which was going to be the bridal chamber.

In an hour's time, (though it felt like infinity for Wei Ying) the door opened again. Wei Ying was made to cover his face with a cloth (as part of the tradition).

Looking down, he saw Lan Zhan's shoes and couldn't help but smile widely. Lan Zhan paused a moment seeing Wei Ying in red, then hooked their arms and said "Wei Ying, I'm here"

Wei Ying replied "Mn" but couldn't be happier. He was anticipating seeing Lan Zhan in red as all he ever wore was white. They then nervously walked to the hall with the help of Jiang Cheng and Yanli.

In the hall, Jiang FengMian, Yu ZiYuan, Lan QiRen and Lan XiChen sat at the front. One side was taken up by Yunmeng disciples and a few from Gusu.

The other had Nie MingJue, Nie HuaiSang and Meng Yao, Jin ZiXuan and Madam Jin, a few disciples from both sects and some other sects.

There were also surprise visitors who came the day before. Xiao XingChen, Xue Yang and Song Lan. Xiao XingChen had given Wei Ying a special signal to call for him if he ever needed help.

Wei Ying set the signal off and Xiao XingChen arrived in a hurry but was met with good news.

When they arrived, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were shocked. "Xue Yang?!" Wei Ying exclaimed while Lan Zhan kept his guard up.

The three of them were surprised while Xue Yang asked "Do you know me?" Wei Ying hesitated and Xiao XingChen said "This is Xue Yang, my lover"

This left Wei Ying and Lan Zhan in greater shock. Wei Ying smiled and shook his head, then reached his hand out to shake hands with Xue Yang.

The five of them spent the day together while Jiang Cheng hung out with XiChen and Yanli with ZiXuan. Wei Ying and Xue Yang got along very well. They were both mischevious and played pranks on others (something Lan Zhan and XingChen would stop them from doing) and they secretly talked about being a bottom in bed.

Lan QiRen raged when he saw Xue Yang but Wei Ying and Lan Zhan calmed him down, saying they will discuss the matter after the marriage.

Everyone was seated in the hall and chatting with each other. Jiang Cheng and Yanli then brought Wei Ying and Lan Zhan in. Everyone immediately stood up.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan then stood in the middle and bowed 3 times. First to the heaven and earth, then to the parents (they bowed to Jiang FengMian, Yu ZiYuan, Lan QiRen and Lan XiChen), then to each other.

They then walked to Wei Ying's room, the bridal chamber. Finally, the moment came as Lan Zhan unveiled Wei Ying. The suspense made both their hearts thump wildly.

The moment the cloth was off, Lan Zhan couldn't help but reveal a smile. Wei Ying looked perfect, handsome yet beautiful and cute in red. Wei Ying also stared at Lan Zhan.

Some couldn't help but chuckle and a disciple came forward, bringing two cups of tea. As Gusu Lan Sect couldn't drink wine, the had replaced it with tea.

They hooked their arms and Wei Ying was smirking from ear to ear. They held eye contact till Lan QiRen couldn't stand it and cleared his throat. They then drank from their cups.

Next, they were to tie a knot on each other. Lan Zhan used his forehead ribbon to tie a knot on Wei Ying's arm while Wei Ying used the red ribbon he always used for his hair.

A disciple then served Wei Ying dumplings that weren't totally cooked. The disciple then asked "Is it raw?"

Some people couldn't help but started chuckling. Wei Ying's face had turned beet red. He then whispered "raw", even though it was clearly heard by everyone and it brought a smile to Lan Zhan's face again.

Everyone then left the room as the celebrations would be held the next day. Lan Zhan held Wei Ying's hand. "Wei Ying, I love you."

Wei Ying smiled and gave Lan Zhan a kiss. "Lan Zhan, I love you too. I couldn't focus on the wedding because you kept smiling."

Lan Zhan flashed a smile for Wei Ying then said "I wanted to kiss you the whole time", making Wei Ying blushed again. Wei Ying then climbed onto Lan Zhan's lap and whispered in his ear "Lan Zhan, it's time..."

Lan Zhan's breath hitched as he wrapped his arms around Wei Ying's waist and called out "Wei Ying..."
