"Why Kai?"
She places her mug in the sink and turns to me "He was there for Elle and I.." She half nervously smiles.
So that's it, is she telling me that's the only reason she's with him is because he was fucking there for them.
"Is that the only reason you're with him?" I ask.
"No, he's an amazing fath..stepfather to Elle, he loves me and I love him"
Stepfather don't make me laugh.
"Love huh?" I laugh.
"Why is that funny?" She scowls.
"You don't live with your fiancé but you love him" I snort holding in my laugh.
"I only stay here because my dad helps babysit when Kai and myself can't watch after her" She says, bunch of bullshit if you ask me.
"So what does Keith do?" I ask with a smug smile.
"Kai..and he's an accountant" She sternly says.

I laugh again "What is so funny?" She asks again becoming annoyed.
"An accountant.." I laugh, I thought he would have a better job, thinking he's all important and shit "if you're gonna date someone at least choose someone I don't want to punch"
Probably want to punch anyone she dates.
"What has he done to you?" She scowls defending him.
"Where do I start..he tried getting into your panties when we were dating, he swooped in when I left and he tried raising my daughter as his own, not to mention he's in your panties probably everyday. Id snap his legs if I could..well I could but people would he angry with me"
Still funny that all she said was "He loves me and I love him" none of he's makes me feel happy or he's amazing in bed type of shit.
"If you're going to sit there and insult Kai, don't!" She raises her voice placing her finger in the air pouting at me.
"Fine, I'll keep my thoughts to myself" I sarcastically say.
He's still a dickhead.
"So, why you working in a diner?" I ask.
"I need money obviously" She states the obvious.
"I can give you money" I say with a shrug.
"I don't need your money.." She sighs "What is it with you Hayes boys trying to give me money" She sternly says as she begins filling up the sink with hot water.
Money..
"Brax tried giving you money?" I scowl, that's my job not his..I want to open a college fund and get her into the perfect schools, give her the best life I never had.
