"Really?" She scowls.

"What?" I stand up and pull my boxers on.

"Fuck you!" she says through her teeth before turning a heel and slamming the door shut.

I'm confused.

I follow going to find her, when I'm in the lounge she's holding Elle in her arms on the couch. Elle is still fast asleep.

"What did I say?" I ask. She ignores keeping all of her attention on Elle, she softly runs her index finger back and forth on Elle's chubby cheek.

"Brin.." I sigh "You're ignoring me now?"

"So you're telling me if you didn't know about Elle you still wouldn't have come back?"

"What? I didn't say that" I'm still fucking confused, I didn't say fuck all wrong. I'm just glad she isn't shouting, I know that's the reason she has Elle in her arms so she doesn't yell at me.

"Yes you did" she gives me the look of death.

"I said 'I think'"

"Are you fucking stupid!" She raises her voice, clearly I made it worse.

"Must be! I don't understand why you're so mad"

"Leave me alone" she closes her eyes and breathes slowly.

"No, if you haven't forgotten we're on a plane" I chuckle.

She opens her eyes looking deadly in my eyes like she's away to lose her shit.

"Are you only with me because of Elle?" She seethes.

"What?" I laugh. Is that a serious question? She must be having a laugh.

"Funny, you just answered my question" she stands brushing past my shoulder and moving to sit on the single chair away from me.

"Brin, I'm confused here. Help me out"

"Help your fucking self" she scoffs.

I walk over standing I front of her, she's looking out the window chewing the skin on her bottom lip.

"Brin..." I sigh but she ignores, I say her name again and she ignores again.

"For god sake Brinley, can you at least talk to me and stop acting like a child"

Her head cocks to me looking at me with no emotion, kind of intimidating.

Scary even.

"Good to know you're only with me for Elle and not because you 'love me', fantastic news" her voice laced with sarcasm.

"I do love you, stop putting words into my mouth"

"Oh, fuck you" she barks.

"Sorry love, you already did" I comment with a smile. She stares at me red with anger.

I think I made it even more worse.

"It was a joke" I sigh.

"You think this is funny?" She sternly says.

"A little, I'm still extremely confused on why you'd think that"

"You better get out my face before I smack it" her eye twitches with anger. I'm not in your face but whatever.

"Are you on your period or something?" I ask genuinely. She clicks her tongue and stares at me like she done with my shit.

I better leave before I make it ten times worse than I already have.
