Chapter Four

"so, how is school, kiddo? heard you had your first lessons this week..." Sans asked while sitting down at Grillby's. Grillby saw us and headed to the kitchen right away.
"It's actually super cool!" I said, "I only go there a few hours a week and then help Tori in teaching about humans and that's it. But you don't get Magic and Monsters lessons in human schools. And nothing is like PE with Undyne, I tell you.". 
"i can imagine. she used to work papyrus down to the bone," he winked. "hey grillbz."
Grillby burned with judgement at Sans' pun which made me laugh. He laid a chicken sandwich in front of me and a classic burger in front of Sans and gave us a questioning look.
"Oooh, I'm feeling fancy, can I get a white wine, please?" and before Sans ordered I added: "Wanna see my ID?" which made Grillby puff out a cloud of smoke, laughing.
"we all know you're not a kid, kiddo, even though you look like one." Sans made me frown at him. "anyway, i'll get some spicy ketchup if we're going fancy."

Later that evening, when we walked out of the place, everything looked sparkly from the wine and Sans wouldn't stop laughing from his spicy ketchup.
"did-haha... did you know tori wants me to teach science at the school? hahaha, you guys would be there more than me haha!" Sans laughed.
"That would be so cooool!" my eyes widened.

Yeah, so cool, I'd get to watch trashbag for hours to find his weak spot for when I take over... I honestly don't understand how you can call him a friend...

I stopped in my tracks. My hand was twitching and I wasn't the one moving it.

Oh no, little tipsy Frisky lost some control! At least I don't get drunk so easily...

"keep up, frisk. you call me lazybones?" Sans turned around. When he saw me standing there, shaking and as pale as snow, he rushed towards me, "Are you ok? It's Chara again, right?"
"How-... How did you know?" my voice was shaky.
"you always have this distant look when you hear them, " he hugged me.
"I am so scared Sans. They keep getting louder and stronger," I said, but the warmth of his hug gave me strength to rebuild more walls between me and Chara.
"You can keep them away. Don't worry, Frisk." Sans' voice lulled me to being calm. "hey little one. wanna go stargaze for a bit?" he asked as he let go of me, a hint of blue on his cheeks.
"Yes. Yes, please."

Without another word, Sans grabbed my hand and with one step, we were on the same hill we went to the first day above ground. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the stars looked even more beautiful than ever before. I admit, they could have looked so sparkly from the wine I had.
Sans didn't let go of my hand, so I looked at him. This time, he was the one caught starring with a distant smile and his face flushed blue. Something made me hold his hand even tighter and smile back at him. We sat down. Soon Sans started telling knock knock jokes and in doing so, he parted our hands.

The thought of everything going back to normal filled me with DETERMINATION.

So I posted this chapter without writing anything here lol, welcome to the repost.

To be honest... I've never been able to continue writing a story for this long. Big achievement on my side yayyyy. 

I realized the chapters are quite short but whatevs, plus i am already working of a full big long one for the future. I'll see how you like it then and maybe adjust how long chapters i write after that.
