It was a couple days before Halloween and I was finishing up my costume . Sid and I were going to a Halloween Party Vero and Flower were hosting . They always did Halloween super well. It had taken Sid and I weeks to decide on a costume . We'd thrown about every idea around from Disney princess and prince to more creative things like Danny and Sandy from grease. Since Sid always had to base his costume on a movie. I'd been the one to come up with the idea after going on Tim Burton binge one weekend I was about half way through watching the movie Corpse bride when bingo it hit me . I could be the corpse bride and Sid could be Victor . Perfect I of course didnt use my actually wedding dress Like any good costume I got it from a thrift store and made aletcations to the gown . I couldn't wait for the party , it was going to be so much fun .
Soon the Night of the party came . I dressed and did my make up of course Sid finished before me and entered the bedroom where I was finishing my hair .
"My don't you make a beautiful corpse . "
I laughed " Thank you Sid , or should I say Victor . Are we ready to Go?"
" Yep just waiting on you . "
" Okay let me throw my shoes in and grab my purse and we can go . "
He kissed me softly "I love you."
" I love you to both me and the baby. " I smiled softly and finished getting ready .
We headed Over to the party. It was fun to see all of the guys and Their wives or girl friends dressed up . I saw Larisa with Geno and waved at her of course they were vampires . I swear that's what GENO was every year . I saw red and Sutter . Who had the very clearly had thought THIER costume through . Gatsby and Daisy from the great Gatsby . After mingling awhile I ran into Vero who was dressed as bumble bee . And of course flower was a flower. " cleaver costume idea Vero I have to give it to you . "
" Why thank you you look great to . "
" As great as a corpse bride can be . "
" How are things with the baby ? "
"good really good have another appointment with my doctor in a week and a half . Sid and I deiced we are going to find out the gender . So if anyone is taking bets on that you'd better get them in now. "
" Noted what do you think it is ? "
"Honestly I think it's a boy .However Sid several times has referred to the baby as princess. So clearly he thinks the opposite . "
" Marc was the same way when I was pregnant with Estelle . Thought it was a boy. "
" Speaking of kids are you two planning on having any more. "
" Actually yes ."
Our conversation was interrupted by Sid joining us
" Vero , love . How are you enjoying yourself."
" I'm having fun, we were just discussing how my pregnancy is going . I told her if there are bets on the gender best get them in now. "
He chuckled " I'm sure the boys have a bet pool of their own on that one . Come dance with me ? "
" of course, I'll see you later Vero. " I let him lead me out onto the floor .
After a few dances I noticed Sutter had somehow gotten ahold of a mic and was calling for everyone's attention.
" Excuse me everyone I don't mean to interrupt anyone's good time but .. Can I have your attention please. " he paused a moment before picking up again. " Layla , my beautiful girlfriend you know How crazy I'm about you . We are soul mates There is no doubt in my mind . Like peanut butter and jelly. Like macaroni and cheese. I have something to ask you , cupcake will you marry . "
Ah adorable.. I noticed that he'd pulled out a ring pop instead of a real ring only slutty . I didn't get to hear her reply but it was pretty clear to me when they locked lips. I managed to shout across the room " Get her a real ring now slutty !" Sid chuckled . Looked like we were going to have another wedding to go to .
A few days passed and I'd deiced that I needed to do something to relax and decrease my stress level so I decided to hire a yoga instructor. Originally I was just going to attend some classes like any normal person but Sid pointed out I was married to the face of the NHL . So it would just be better to hire someone for private sessions . After some looking around of my own I found what appeared to be a good yoga teacher . I called the number I'd found and set up a day to meet . That day came around rather quickly and promptly at 10 the door bell rang I went and answered it . It was the instructor. , he introduced himself as John Higgins . We chatted a little as I showed him to the gym . It was a good hour session of yoga. Except for the fact he kept hitting on me . Who hit on a pregnant married women . When we where done I drank some water and offered to show him out as we walked to the door Sid came out of the living room . Perfect timing , " oh John, before you go I'd like you to meet someone . This is my husband Sidney ." He did greet him but it was awkward and John quickly left . As soon as he had Sid asked .
" Who was that ?"
" Oh just my yoga instructor."
" I see .. " Sid was quiet a bit .. and that usually only meant one thing
" Sidney Crosby , you are not jealous of John."
" Me .. Jealous of him nooo. "
I gave him a look
" Okay maybe A little , but he was so totally hitting on you before I showed up. "
" Sid there's no need to be jealous , Are you forgetting who's baby I'm carrying . "
" Mine ."
" Exactly ." I gave him a kiss it was cute when he was jealous
