It was that time of the year again the all star break of course per ussaly Sid was invited to attend . I was partly sad though because we were going to be without Sid . So the day he was supposed to leave I went out with colter to try and cheer myself up . Much to my surprise when we got home Sid wasn't gone . I gave him a kiss and asked " I thought you were going to the all star game in Columbus? "
" I was but since I'm still recovering form the mumps I've decided to not go . Besides I'd rather spend it here with you and my son . "
I smiled sometimes my husband was the best .
Time passed quickly and before I knew it , it was colters second birthday. We were cleaning up after the party and our son was down for a nap , he'd gotten spoiled rotten on his birthday. As I was loading the dishwasher Sid came up behind me and kissed me .
" you know colter is two now and that means you have a promise to keep . "
" oh?" I said with a smirk I knew excatly what I'd promised and I intended to keep my word .
" You said to me that once our son was two we could start trying for another baby .. So we should start trying . "
I laughed softly " oh I'm well aware , I suppose I can go off my birth control and we can try to have another little one . "
" Good ." He wrapped his arms around me and I knew that if luck was on our side we would get another baby very soon a brother or sister for our son .
Now that our son was two Sid had full permission to start teaching him how to skate . Which hopefully would run smoothly. He needed to keep in mind that he was still very young and had all the time in the world to learn . He might be a penguin but his son wasn't not yet at least.
It was a boring day and I was pokeing about on tumblr like I often did when I had nothing else to do. I enjoyed the hockey fandom very much so it was amusing some of the things that came up and leaked . During my poke around I discovered a rather interesting blog , by a user of the name ninja omelet . She had started drawing the guys as actually penguins . Not only was the art work cute but slightly funny . I had to show this to Sid , so I book marked the page for later . I'd show him tonight when we were laying about before bed .
That night it was our typical routine getting ready for bed and getting the little man down for his bedtime. We where sleep training and thus far it had been a struggle he was hard headed like his father . Finnaly after three or four times of putting him back to bed he passed out .
" is it ever gonna get better ?"
Sid asked as we climbed into bed
" It will I promise we just have to have patience. He will get used to his bed yet . But before we turn in for the night I have to show you something I discovered while poking about on tumblr."
"You were the on tumblr again this is gonna be interesting."
I half rolled my eyes . " it's nothing weird unlike some fanfiction I've come across but you don't want to know about that . Ah here we are," I handed him the tablet I'd been using .
" Are those..Geno and I as penguins ."
" yep "
" okay then not sure how I feel about that . "
" personal I think they are adorable you make a cute penguin ." I gave him a kiss
He chuckled softly and we decided to turn in for the night . The fandom sometimes .
It was on off day for the penguins and that meant we had the day free to ourselves part of me wanted to spend the day as a family the other part of me thought it would be good to have some alone time as a couple. I called the nanny so she could watch Colter while Sid and I went out and did whatever we pleased. Of course we ended up at the rink . We skated around for about fourth-five minutes before I began to tire . I was about done here course Sid wasn't quite done so I settled In on the bench he wouldn't be long . After a bit he skated over to the bench . " You about done stud ? "
" Yes although I was thinking we could have a bit more fun ."
" ohh how ."
" well .." He leaned into the boards
" I know that look .. You are up to something spill ."
" or I could show you." He leaned in and kissed me
" oh so that thought process , but where ?"
" the sin bin ."
" lead the way then . " he held the door to the sin bin open for me " such a gentleman." Once we where settled in the sin bin I laced my arms around his neck " the things I let you do " he kissed me and I tossed the thought away just losing myself to him.
We may be married but we where still crazy in love, and I hopped that never changed .
