Not Too Far Gone
Season Two: Episode 7

Kory and Vosh led Eve straight to Conner's quarters. She gasped when she saw Conner lying there, pale and helpless. Eve rushed to his side, leaving a whimpering Krypto in the doorway.

"I am so sorry." Eve said over Conner's body.

Vosh knelt down and rubbed Krypto's ears. The dog licked his hands and face. He was ecstatic to see Vosh, yet saddened over Conner.

"I missed you too, boy." Vosh said to the dog. He smiled as Krypto continued showering him in love. Seeing Krypto was the most relief he'd felt in.. well since he woke up.

"Save the apologies. Can you help him?" Kory asked.

"Maybe if I'd gotten here sooner but the Kryptonite poisoning has gone too far." Eve cried, shaking her head.

Vosh stood up. "Bullshit. There has to be something you can do for him, Eve. He's not too far gone." He said.

"I wish I had better news, Vosh, I did. I'm so sorry..."

"Spare me, Eve." He spat. Eve was his only hope at saving Conner. If he'd gotten her sooner maybe Conner wouldn't be dying.

"Seriously, that's the best you've got?" Kory asked, unimpressed and impatient.

"I'm a scientist. I'm not God." Eve said, standing.

Kory looked at Vosh then back to Eve. "You just told me you created him. You're the closest thing to a God he has, present company excluded. Half of his DNA is from a guy that lifts skyscrapers, and flies faster than the speed of light. At least fucking try."

Eve released a dramatic breath. "It's not about speed or strength, okay? In order to save him, we would need a level of radiation that can't be found on this Earth. We would need to fly him to the sun, and we don't have time for that!" Eve responded.

"By now, in order to heal him, we would need to bring the sun here." Eve said. She was at a loss, however, Kory wasn't.

Kory began to smile. "Well, why didn't you say so? Vosh come on." She said reaching for his hand.

"What's happening?" He asked. Krypto cocked his head to the side as if asking the same question.

"Well, considering the fact that the both of us have the ability to match the radiation of a fucking exploding star, I think it's pretty obvious what we have to do." She responded.

Vosh began to catch on. "Oh! It makes total sense, I guess? So what do we do?" He asked.

"Stand here, Eve you take Fido here into the hall. This may get a little crazy." Kory said.

Eve stepped into the hall, Krypto reluctantly followed. Vosh could've sworn he heard the dog scoff at Kory's nickname. He caught Eve's wary gaze and sent a nod her way.

Kory walked to the bed and lifted Conner's unconscious body with little hassle. The sheets slipped from his body and revealed Conner's naked figure.

"Oh wow. I know I've seen it all before but the light of day can be... illuminating." Vosh gulped. He looked away from Conner and opened up his shirt to get some air. Why was it so hot in there all of a sudden?

"Get your head out of the gutter and give me a hand." Kory demanded.

Vosh rushed over to them. "What do I do?" He asked.
