How Far You've Strayed
No EpisodeVosh gasped for air. He looked around and realized something wasn't quite right. A moment ago, he was in Titans Tower. Somehow, he'd been transported somewhere else entirely.
Somewhere eerily familiar.
He sat on a bench in the park. The grass underneath his feet was full of life and color. The sun was glaring, radiant.
"You're unhinged." Said a distorted voice from Vosh's side.
Vosh turned slowly. A ball of white light floated beside him. It's energy pulsated like a heartbeat.
A gasp escaped him. He looked into the light. A warmth radiated from the energy. It made him feel safe, safer than he had in billions of years. It felt like home.
"What's going on?" He asked.
The ball of energy fizzled into a blinding light. The light transformed into a man. A man Vosh recognized.
"It's you. The man from the street." Vosh said, eyes widened.
The old man in the top hat nodded. "That and much more." Said the man.
"Who are you?" He asked. Part of him knew the answer to that question. Yet that part of him was buried long ago.
The man in the trench coat opened his arms. He waved his hand in front of them. The golden sun that blazed, vanished. Surrounded them, but the park didn't disappear.
"Who am I?" He asked in a disembodied voice.
"I am The Voice that commands the Spectre, The Hand that paints upon the canvas of time, I am The Presence looming over all life... I am... The Source." He finished.
Vosh sat in silence for a moment. He looked down at his hands and saw his palms glow. The supernova beneath his skin clawed against his insides.
"Why do I feel like I know you?" Vosh asked.
"Because you do. I am the spark that created you--and everything else, Supernova. The voice that soothed you in your prison for billions of years. The voice that gave you purpose."
"I-I don't know what to say." Vosh confessed. His head spun. "Every time I think I remember everything, something else happens. A new memory comes and everything goes to shit." He said.
He remembered a voice in his mind, but that voice did not match The Source.
"So I guess my only question for you is: what the fuck is happening? You said you gave me purpose, well let me tell you how screwed you are..."
"Now is not the time for bickering, child. Suppress your humanity, there is too much at stake." The man interrupted.
Suddenly they were standing and the park bench no longer existed. The canvas that was open space changed. The sky was blood red, bolts of lightning crackled within it.
"What's happening?" Vosh asked.
"The Crisis is upon us, child. It was always my intent to allow you to garnish power on your own but you've strayed. I fear you've strayed too far..."
