Tuesday - 9:37am

Thomas was finally heading back home before a three weeks trip to France to resolve a few work business. He was missing his beautiful wife more than he could possibly say; it was the longest time they were apart since they got married. And now he was stuck at the airport and needed to tell her that he will arrive at home two days later the foreseen; and he didn't want to die yet.

He sighed before calling Angelica "Hey babe" He said once she answered.

"Heey!" She said wide smiling. Angelica was ready for Thomas arrival; she even prepared a whole dinner thing for them to celebrate the news "So how was your flight?? Did you arrive yet?"

"Yeah yeah, I left Monticello by the morning but about my translation in South Carolina..."

"What happened?" She said worried "Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine, it's just that my plane had a mechanical problem and the next flight that I could get a seat is on Thursday by 11am."

"More 2 days??" She yelled "They couldn't get one sooner for Thomas Jefferson??"

"I'm so sorry Angie... I tried" He replies and she sighs "There's another one today by 9pm but there's not even one lonely seat... They said if someone gives up they can rearrange me but don't count on that..."

Angie closes her eyes and squeezes her lips, trying not to get mad and be chill. She blows a candle that was in front of her before answering him "Well it is ok. It's not like I've tried to cook to do something special for your arrival after weeks apart or whatever. You know I only do this kinda stuff when it's a VERY special date like a birthday or whatever... And you travel all the time so... No reason for it right?"

"Yeah, I would feel like trash if you did" He says nervously laughing, but still in relief that she didn't do that... Well at least he thought she didn't.

"Yeah..." She says and also laughs. "Just keep updating me ok? I miss you..."

"Alright babe, if I take the Thursday's flight I'll be home around 4pm, ok? Gosh I can't wait to see you again... I'm homesick to death here!"

Angelica smiles from the other side of the phone. "I love you..."

"I Love you too" He replies and they hang up.

Wednesday - 1:48am

Thomas made it to get into that sooner flight once someone gave up last minute and he was the first one in line. But he decided not to warn Angelica about it, he wanted to surprise her; just wasn't counting to get home this late at night. He even bought some pink roses that made him think in her at the airport.

Once he gets into their duplex apartment, he leaves his bags right by the door and hang the keys. He turns on the light to find their dinner table all set for a romantic meal. The scene made Thomas' heart sink. There was even a light yellow box with a red ribbon under the table. "Wait... It's not our marriage anniversary... Not her birthday... Not mine either... Why a gift? Only because of a bit longer trip? Nah, Angelica is not like that..." Thomas left the roses over the table and grabbed the box, staring at it as he tries to figure out what he was missing there. But nothing came in his mind.

Finally the tiredness won and the grabbed the roses, the box, and lead to their room upstairs. There he finds his wife deeply asleep. He sadly smiles. He had missed her so much.

Thomas takes off his shoes and places the roses and the box at his bedside and finally lay in bed next to Angelica. He cuddles her and interweaves their fingers. He smiles once he gets to feel her perfume and whispers almost asleep "I missed you, babe..."

The morning light got into Angelica's eyes and she close them tightly before open one of them slowly, still pretty tired. She feels something at her hands and look down. Once she sees a hand holding hers all she get to do is be confused, she had barely wake yet. But two seconds later she wide opens her eyes realizing what happened.

"THOMAS!" She yells and he barely opens one of his eyes when she jumps over him and fill his face with kisses. After a bunch of kisses he is finally awoke and tiredly smiles at his beautiful confused wife "OMG WHAT- HOW?!"

"Remember that early flight with no seats?" He says as he sits in the bed, Angelica still sat in his lap "Well, someone cancelled in the last minute and they got me in... Gosh how much I missed your smile" Thomas finalizes it brightly smiling.

"So did I" She says also smiling and his smile faints.

"Yeah I know... I saw the dinner thing you prepared..." He says looking regretful.

"I'm sorry; you weren't supposed to see that. It's not your fault you didn't arrive last night" She says apologizing.

"Why are you sorry? I'm the one who forgot... Whatever celebration is January 12. And actually I got you-" He leans to the ground and grab the roses, handing them to her "This. As an apology" What he said made Angelica chuckle as she look at the roses "Hey what's so funny?!"

"Your completely unawareness of which date it is" She says laughing.

"Then could you please tell me, babe?" He begs her in a playful way, getting closer and she gets out of him. She stands up in front of the bed and he looks confused at her.

She takes a deep breath before saying "I... I guess I won't be the only "babe" you'll have now..."

He's in shock for a few seconds, what only increased Angelica's anxiety, and then he finally says "Wha-What? Wait. You mean... You are pregnant?"

She nods smiling and he gets out of bed, hugging and kissing his wife before lifting her off the ground "WE ARE PREGNANT??! THAT'S AMAZING!!"

Once he puts her on her feet again either of them can stop smiling ear to ear. "Why don't you go open your gift, "daddy"?"

Thomas grabs the mysterious box beside the bed and unties the ribbon. Inside there were the pregnancy test, marking positive, and a little baby cloth with the words "I came to rock this world!" in the middle of an explosion. Considering the parents this baby has, no one could expect less of baby Jefferson.

Thomas smile and hugs the cloth and says "I loved it" This just make Angelica laughs and he walk to her, kneeling in front of her and touching her flat belly "Hey baby girl... It's daddy here..."

"Nah, it's gonna be a boy" Angelica says with certain.

"What?! No, I'm 102% sure it's a girl!"
