Katniss POV-

"Me, Brandon, and..." She says placing her hands gently over her stomach.

My demeanor lights up instantly when I realize what she is saying.

"Bristol!" I squeal at her and smile widely.

"March or April." She says smiling widely.

"Oh my gosh!" I say hugging her.

"I'm about three months right now, maybe four." She tells me.

"Goodness, that is great news."

"Does Brandon know?" I ask on a more serious note.

Bristol shakes her head, "I guess he will have a big surprise when he gets back, huh?" She says.

"He sure will. And I know he will be so happy. I know you will both make amazing parents." I say truthfully.

Any child would be lucky to have Bristol as a mother.

She is so gentle and kind and so caring.

"I'll tell him soon, though. And before you ask, that's not why we got married. I just found out." She says.

"When did it happen?" I ask her curiously, realizing that the math doesn't add up.

I know she said he visited back in May or June so it would've had to have happened then.

"It happened when he came back during the summer. I guess it's true that it only takes once." She sighs.

I nod in understanding.

"I'm really happy for you." I tell her truthfully.

"I'm scared but I know it will be worth it." She sighs.

I smile sadly at her and can't even begin to imagine how scared she really must be.

"So, do you need any help packing?" Bristol asks, looking around the room.

"I can do it all, no worries. You just sit there." I say protectively.

"Katniss, just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't do stuff." She says, annoyed.

"I know but really, I have it under control." I say truthfully.

I don't know why, but I just feel like protecting her.

I don't know exactly from what though, it's probably just an instinct.

As I begin neatly folding my clothes and placing them into bags I begin to talk again.

"I'm really sorry for leaving you, I know I promised but-" I'm cut off.

"Katniss, it's okay, I promise. I'll be okay. I'll miss you so much but I promise we will be okay. I have something, someone to look after now. It'll help keep my mind off worrying about Brandon." She says.

I smile hoping she's telling the truth but then decide it's probably true.

"I promise if you need anything, you call me. Of if you miss me so much you can't stand it, I'll come get you or we can come visit." I say.

She laughs a little bit, "Okay." She frowns.

"I promise Peeta and I will come see you when we can and you can come see us too. I will also be here for the arrival of my new little friend, especially if Brandon can't be here. You won't have to go through it alone." I promise her.

Bristol smiles genuinely, "Really?" She asks touching her flat stomach.

"Yes, you're stuck with me. Once you befriend Katniss Everdeen, you don't get rid of her so easily." I say jokingly.
