Chapter Fifteen

Katniss POV- (Two weeks later, Saturday)

It's been two weeks since Bristol and Brandon's wedding.

I haven't seen her much since her wedding but I know she and Brandon have been in town spending as much time together as they can before he's deployed again.

I really miss having her here but it's not too bad because I get to see Peeta a little more.

He slept here all week and it's now Saturday morning.

I just woke up and I look down to see Peeta is fast asleep.

I hear a faint snore come from him and this makes me laugh silently.

I lay my head back down next to Peeta's and turn to be face to face with him.

I can feel his soft, warm breaths blow on my face and I close my eyes.

I enjoy these moments were Peeta isn't aware of me staring in admiration at him.

I look at his face.

Every feature is so perfectly sculpted.

His jaw line, perfect.

His eyelashes and cheekbones, so perfect.

His messy blonde hair and lips, absolutely perfect.

Peeta Mellark is perfect.

Involuntarily, I lean forward and kiss his nose softly.

I bring my head back down to the pillow and see he is undisturbed by my actions.

I stare at the ceiling for I don't know how long before I feel Peeta start to stir next to me.

"Good morning." Peeta whispers softly with a yawn, rubbing his eyes.

I smile, "Good morning." I say, a lump of excitement in my throat.

"How did you sleep?" Peeta says, turning onto his stomach and leaning up on his elbows

"I slept better than I have since we've been here." I admit to him.

"Me too. I think that it's gonna be hard to go back to my own dorm after Bristol gets back."

"Well, we haven't been caught yet so it's not like I couldn't come to your room."

Peeta laughs, "If people only knew the rules we broke."

"It's not like we are having sex so there is that." I laugh.

"You're right. If that's the worst thing we do."

"It's worth it. Especially since we haven't been caught." I laugh.

Peeta smiles tiredly at me, "What if we looked into finding an apartment in Five next semester?"

"Do you really think that we will still want to stay another semester?" I ask him honestly.

"Katniss, I'll be honest with you..."

I sigh, "Please do."

"Besides not getting to see you as often as I would like, I'm actually really enjoying my classes."

"Okay." I say.

"I have been trying to make the best of it and it's working. I just don't want to keep you here if you don't want to be or if you're not happy."

"I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought it would all of my life and I don't want to take it away from you if you are having fun."

Peeta sighs deeply, "I could figure it out where we could live in town and I could just come back and forth everyday. You could get a job if you want and I could finish school. It's just two years, it would be over before we know it."

I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know. I will think about it but I want whatever makes you happy." I tell him truthfully.

"Well, I want whatever makes you happy."

I snort and he smiles.

"You know what would make me happy?"

"What's that?"

"To stop talking about it and talk about something else." I say.

He raises his eyebrows.

"What do you want to talk about then?"

"I don't know." I say with a laugh.

"How about we start to plan something?" Peeta says shyly.

My eyes light up.

I know exactly what he is wanting to do. 

"Okay." I say, leaning over him to my desk.

I grab a pencil and a notebook that I bought the other day, intending on using it for this specifically.

We both sit up and lean against the wall.

I bring my legs up to my knees and wait for Peeta's suggestions.

"Well, how'd you start planning Bristol's wedding?" He asks me.

"I started with theme or colors, guests, and that's about it. We kind of took it from there, I don't really know how it happened to be honest." I say truthfully.

Peeta gives me a crooked smile and chuckles.

I smile back innocently and look back to the blank page staring me in the face.

"You're so cute, Katniss." Peeta laughs, leaning his head on my shoulder.

I smile happily and begin writing blank categories for us to fill in as we go.

On each page, I write something new.

And that's as far as I get on categories.

I am surprised I got that many.

We decide on everything except a location, and date.

We don't get much but it is a start and that's something.

And that is as far as we get for now and I think it's a decent start.

I don't see why there should be a rush for this wedding to occur, even if we are eager for it.
