Katniss POV-

I wake up and find Peeta's side untouched from when I made the bed yesterday.

I wonder if he slept in the living room?

I get up and look out the closed window.

There's huge snow drifts and the roads are covered completely.

I cover myself in a throw blanket off the bed and walk downstairs.

I find Peeta downstairs in the kitchen, as usual, he is sitting at the kitchen table only, he's sound asleep.

I walk over to the counter and find a half eaten plate of food and a full plate that's covered, for me.

I go over and sit down across from Peeta.

I quietly put my plate on the table and sit down to eat. I finish then decide to go get dressed, even though it's obvious Peeta and I won't be going anywhere today.

I get dressed and about fifteen minutes later, I go back down.

"Peeta?" I say, rubbing his back softly.

He wakes up in a matter of seconds and looks completely exhausted.

"Hey." He says, sitting up.

"Did you sleep down here?" I ask him.

He sighs, "Well, I didn't sleep but I mean, yes, I did sleep but not until a little bit ago." He says, jumbling up his words tiredly.

"Why didn't you come to bed last night?" I ask him, leaning down and wrapping my arms around his shoulders from behind.

He shrugs, "Once I got you in bed, I was wide awake."

"Peeta, why don't you go on to bed? There is nothing to do anyways it snowed." I say, glancing through the window to the backyard.

He kisses my cheek and stands up, taking our plates to the sink.

"I want take you out there to play." He says like a child.

I laugh, "What?" I ask.

I haven't played in the snow since that day with Peeta and Prim.

"Come on. Go get dressed to go outside. I got to go put some stuff in the dryer." Peeta says, rushing into the laundry room.

I chuckle and head back upstairs to get on some more weather appropriate clothes.

I put on a big coat over my t-shirt and roll my sweats pant legs up and put on snow boots. I put on hats and gloves too, then I gather all Peeta's winter gear too and head downstairs.

"Ready, Peeta. I got your stuff too."

He appears from the laundry room and puts his winter stuff on.

"Ready?"

"Yes." I say, holding out my glove covered hand to him.

Peeta grins and takes my hand and we open our front door to the cold outside world.

The drifts, luckily, didn't completely cover up the doorway so we were able to go into the front yard.

"I know what we could do!" Peeta says running up to me.

"What?" I ask, breathing in the cold air.

"I'll be right back!" He says, running through the snow and back into the house, surely tracking snow inside.

I just laugh, shaking my head and I keep treading through the snow.

About 5 minutes later, Peeta comes back with a big box. He walks over and sets it at my feet. I look inside to find all sorts of things.
