Peeta POV-

"So, what do we do until later?" Katniss asks me with a smirk.

I smile softly, "I don't know. Whatever you want." I tell her.

"I want you to come hang out with me." She says shyly, I can see the want in her eyes.

I smirk, "Katniss, we hang out everyday!"

Katniss laughs, "I know but you know what I mean."

I smile widely, "Come on, Beautiful." I say, walking past her and softly kicking at her crutches as I walk by.

Katniss follows me out into the living room and sits on the couch, I follow. I sink down into the cushion next to her and she sits there awkwardly.

I put my hand on her thigh and she shivers and sets her hand on top of mine and cocks her head happily. "What?" I ask her with a laugh.

"I love you." She says.

"I love you too."

Out of nowhere, Katniss lays her head on my shoulder and hugs my arm. She looks at me, chin on my shoulder and then plants a kiss on it.

She's being really clingy today. I wonder why?

"What's going on?" I ask her suspiciously.

Katniss shakes her head, "Nothing. I'm just really lucky to have you and I want you to know that."

I nod, hiding a smile.

I click on the tv and lay my hand on top of hers as we begin watching an old Christmas movie.

Not long after, just as my eyes begin to feel heavy, I hear soft little snores coming from Katniss.

I smile to myself and begin laying down across the couch, pulling her on top of me. She doesn't wake up or even really budge to the sudden movement so I just lay there.

I smile as I remember how hard it was for us to get here, like this. We've been through a lot together and I know it could've been worse but we've made it. I can't believe in four short months, I'll be married to Katniss Everdeen.

And that, makes me so happy.

I bring my head forward and kiss her cheek and her eyelashes flutter, but she doesn't wake up. I smile and close my heavy eyes, only to be awakened to Katniss jolting, with cries escaping her tongue just a little while later.

"Katniss. Wake up. I got you. It's alright." I console her as my heart races.

Katniss wakes up and half sits half lays on top of me, she looks into my eyes and I can see the fear they currently hold. Her breathing, heavy and her face full of fright. I place my hand on her back and she let's out a heavy sigh and let's her head hang down.

"It was just a dream. It's alright." I tell her as I calm down myself.

After awhile, Katniss looks up at me, she's still shaken up, "Want to talk about it?" I ask her softly.

"Prim. You. My parents." She says plainly and I nod my head and rub her back.

Katniss finally allows herself to believe it will be okay and I can feel her body release all it's tension and she let's out a long groan.

"Why can't I just be normal?" She asks me, frustrated

I rub little circles into her lower back, "Katniss, you are normal. Everyone has nightmares." I tell her.

Katniss just shakes her head, "It's different, Peeta. You know that." She says softly.

I feel so bad for her.
