Katniss POV- (A few weeks later)

Today, I get to get my cast off and I am so ready.

Peeta is driving me to the clinic right now for x-rays and hopefully a removal of my cast.

"You scared to get it off?" He asks suddenly.

I nod slightly, "Kind of. I just hope I won't hurt it again after it's gone. I'm sort of afraid it will hurt when they take it off." I explain my fears.

Peeta stays eerily quiet for a few minutes before speaking up again, "Well, you're not going to get to go crazy, you know? You'll still probably have to use your crutches a while longer and work your way back to using it all the time. You cannot be risking another fall either. I'm still going to help you as much as I can because I don't want you hurt again." Peeta says sternly.

I laugh breathily, "I'll be fine, Peeta."

Peeta scoffs.

I roll my eyes at him and he frowns then let's out a annoyed laugh, "Katniss, I'm laughing but I am serious. You don't know how hard this whole thing has been for me. Seeing you hurt and seeing you wake up in excruciating pain at night, instead of nightmares or both. It hasn't been fun to watch." Peeta get a serious tone and I know I should shut up.

I pout my lip slightly, feeling a bit taken back and look out the window. A few minutes of awkward silences later, we stop, "Ready?" Peeta asks in an edgy tone.

I nod my head.

"Look, Katniss, you just don't know how much it hurts me to see you hurting." Peeta frowns.

I put my hand on his and he looks down and back up at me, "I know and thank you for worrying about me."

Peeta pulls me into a soft, loving kiss but I can still see it.

Whatever it is.

Whatever it may be.

"Let's go. I'm ready to finally get this thing off. I have had an itch on my calf for a few weeks now and sticking pencils in between my cast and leg hasn't helped much." I say and this makes Peeta smirk.

"Let's go, brat." He says, getting out of the car and helping me out.

We walk into the clinic side by side and Peeta signs me in.

About ten minutes later, the x-ray technician calls me in.

Peeta helps me into the room and onto this table where they x-ray my leg through the cast.

They tell me that it's almost completely healed but they will go ahead and take the cast off me today.

Lucky for me.

Peeta helps me down and guides me down the hall to their waiting room.

The nurse calls me in and he helps me into the next room where they balance me on a scale and take my weight and height. Then they put me in a chair while they take my blood pressure and temperature.

Then the nurse leads us to another little room and set me on the bed, just like everytime.

Sick, broken bone, anything.

It's all a similar procedure.

I scootch back onto the paper crunching beneath me as Peeta sits in the chair next to the bed. I start feeling shaky and stare at the health posters on the door. Most talk about germs. Things like the flu or common colds, washing your hands and about vitamins, etcetera.

"Katniss, calm down. It'll be okay." Peeta says, taking my hand and taking me out of my trance.

I jump a little and look down at him, "The doctor isn't even in here yet, just calm down. You're shaking."
