Chapter 26: Together Alone

Steven was sleeping. You were helping the Pebbles with the room. Steven tha woke up. "Steven? Are you okay?" Pearl asked. "Yeah just had a really weird nightmare" He said. Some pebbles were running around on the bed Steven and Connie were sleeping on. Connie woke up as well and said good morning. "It's something with four legs and a lot of cushions on the top" Amethyst was telling the pebbles what a couch is. The pebbles built it and Amethyst jumped on it. "The Pebbles have been working all night. What do you think?" Pearl asked. "It almost feels like home" Steven said. "Almost" Garnet said.

You were now in the throne room. "A ball? We haven't had a ball in 6000 years" Yellow Diamond said. "We haven't got Pink inside 6000 years" Blue Diamond said. "Yeah. When White shows up we can tell her why need her help on earth" Steven said. "And this could also mark the beginning of era 3" Blue Diamond said. "You're right. It's brilliant" Yellow Diamond said. "Thank you Yellow, Thank you Blue" Steven said. "If White's going to be there everything has to be perfect. Pink can you manage this on your own? Our Pearls can get you help started" Blue Diamond said. Blue Pearl appeared in front of you "at your service Pink Diamond" She said than Yellow Pearl appeared as well. "Make sure you go over all of our customs with Pink since she has so much trouble recalling her past here on Homeworld" Yellow Diamond said. "Yes my Diamond" Yellow Pearl said.
"Era 3, Steven you're already changing the world" Pearl said. "Yeah. Come on Party Pearls" Steven said. "We're at your command Pink Diamond" Blue and Yellow Pearls said in union. "Just call me Steven" Steven said. "Whatever you command Pink Diamond" They said again.

"Balloons everywhere! Confetti canons too" Steven said. "Dibs on Being the Confetti canon" Amethyst said. "Canons are forbidden inside palace walls. These balloons you're referring to are unprecedented and therefore out of the question" Yellow Pearl said. "So what is presidented and therefore in the question?" Steven asked. "You are to sit on your elevated throne, while the members of your court indicate to you that they are present" Yellow Pearl said. "Yaykes that sounds pretty dry" Amethyst said. "Liquids are forbidden in the ballroom" Yellow Pearl said. "Alright" Steven said. He jumped up to his throne and sat on it. "From here you can accept or reject the members of your court at your leisure. My Diamond will do the same as will Blue Diamond, and if we're so lucky, all of us will enjoy the implacable judgement of White Diamond" Yellow Pearl said. "So when she gets here I'll just hop up there and talk to her?" Steven asked. "Oh stars no, I forgot how silly you can be. Everyone stays where they belong" Yellow Pearl said. "Oh so, I'll just wait till I get the chance to talk to her on the dance floor" Steven said waile he jumped from the throne and floated down. "Pink Diamond! Your subjects will do the dancing for you. Why would a Diamond want to dance?" Yellow Pearl said. "Cuz dancing is fun" Steven said. "What is fun?" Yellow Pearl asked. "You know it's when you do something you wanna do, just because it feels good" Connie explained. Yellow and Blue Pearl looked at each other. "I don't think we do that here" Yellow Pearl said. "Well is there something you really like to do?" Steven asked her. "Oh of course not, my feelings
are irrelevant" Yellow Pearl said. "I like to draw" Blue Pearl said. "Wh-What?" Yellow Pearl asked. "Can I see some of your stuff?" Steven asked. "Um here, my Diamond allows me to draw during court proceedings. They're nothing much" Blue Pearl said and showed us a drawing of Yellow Diamond destabilizeing someone. "Let me see that. You can't share these, they're highly confidential" Yellow Pearl said as she scrawled through some of the pictures Blue Pearl drew. She stopped at a drawing of herself. "Hmm. Not bad. Try a different angle" Yellow Pearl said and strucked a pose. Steven laughed "that's it. You like being a model and you like being an artist". Blue and Yellow Pearls laughed. "Pink?" You heard the voice of Blue Diamond behind you. "Why aren't you getting ready?" She asked. "I guess I am ready if all I have to do is sit in a chair" Steven said. "Are you really going to look like this even a the ball?" Blue Diamond asked. "I can't really help it" Steven said. "You weren't thinking of inviting your earth friends are you?" Blue Diamond asked. "Why wouldn't I" Steven asked. Blue Diamond made a wall with her hands, between you, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Connie and him. "Steven!" You all yelled in union. "They can't come? Aren't they my court of whatever?" Steven asked. "Pink quit fooling around. White Diamond is going to be there. We have to present her with our best possible selves, just as our gems have to present us with their best possible selves. A ball is a chance to inspire everyone" Blue Diamond said. "But my friends are super inspiring, they'll inspire White too. Together we can make a case for earth" Steven said. "Very well. You can bring your Pearl and (G/t) of course and your pet" Blue Diamond said. "Pet?" Steven asked. "I think she means me" Connie said. "As for this faulty Amethyst" Blue Diamond said. "Oh boy here it comes" Amethyst said. "She'll need limb inhancenents to meet he height requirements. The Sapphire will need to enter with the other Sapphires of course and the Ruby will need to enter with the guard" Blue Diamond said. "Woah, woah, woah, are you talking about Garnet?" Steven asked. "Garnet? Does that call herself a Garnet? Where would you have her do? Enter with the Demantoids? The Hessonites? The Pyrobes? Pink I'm being very generous but you can't expect me to-" Blue Diamond git cut off by Garnet saying "I won't go". Steven went to hug her "Garnet". " At least the Sapphire I there has some sence" Garnet growled. "Pink are you going to ring in the ball?" Blue Diamond asked. "What?" Steven asked. "Uh, I'll take care if it. I'll take care of everything" Blue Diamond said. "Come Pearl" Both Yellow and Blue Pearl followed Blue Diamond. "Garnet" Steven said. "I'll find you when it's over" Garnet said. "I thought we get to do this together" Steven said. "Steven. This is your chance to talk to White. She's not gonna listen to me but she might listen to Pink" Garnet said. "Than she'll listen to me when I'll listen to you. Once I'll talk to White Diamond I'll change everything. I promise" Steven said.

The ball started. The music was playing and gems were arriving. You were standing on the right side of Stevens throne next to Pearl. "Pink Diamond, it's wonderful to be in your presence" Two gems said. "Uhh, thank you" Steven said. "Wow so, radiant and exsparckling (A/n -I have no idea what they said)" The two gems left and two other similar gems came to the throne to greet Steven. "Pink Diamond" They said. "We're starting soon, but if you're quick about it" Pearl said. "Thanks Pearl" Steven said and jumped off of his throne. "Steven!" Pearl said. Steven turned his head towards Pearl. "Your manners" She said. "Oh, right" Steven said and landed with one of his legs stretched out and one bent dack. You didn't hear what they were talking about. Steven jumped on Back on his throne. "I really hope that this works out Connie" Steven said. "Ruby and Sapphire are here. When I told Garnet I still wanted her to come I hope she didn't meat I wanted her to split" Steven said as he saw Ruby and Sapphire walking with the other Rubies and Sappires. "I'm sure she just wants to support you in any way she can" Connie said. "Everyone behold the daunting beauty and elegance that is Yellow Diamond!" Yellow Pearl announced as Yellow Diamond strucked a pose similar to her mural. She walked towards the thrones. "Not a bad turnout Pink" She said. "I appreciate your attendance Yellow" Steven said. Yellow walked and sat on her throne. "Everyone, prepare yourself emotionally for the overpowering elegance that is Blue Diamond" Blue Pearl announced. Blue Diamond as well strucked a Pose similar to her mural. She walked towards The Thrones. "You're doing great" She whispered. "Thank you Blue" Steven said. Blue Diamond sat on her throne as well. The lights turned off as White Diamonds Pearl showed up. "For those in attendance of the era 3 ball" She said. Everyone was hoping that White Diamond would show up. "White Diamond. Has more important things to attend to" White Pearl said. "What?!" Steven yelled. "Therefore" A bubble wrapped around her. "I will be here to observe in her place. Welcome to era 3" White Pearl said.

The music was playing and Gems were dancing. White Pearl looked extremely happy. Steven sighted "I made everyone do this and it's so miserable" Steven said. Connie climbed up to Steven. "Steven" She said. "Don't you mean Pink Diamond?" Steven said. "Of course I don't. Come on, do you wanna dance?" Connie asked. "Yeah, but I'm not supposed to" Steven said. "It's your party" Connie said. "But White expects me-" Steven got cut off by Connie saying "she's not here". They climbed down from the throne. Everyone stopped dancing and looked at them. You couldn't hear what they were saying. They started dancing. While they were dancing they fused. White Pearl wasn't smiling anymore. Everyone was shocked. The music stopped. Yellow Diamond stood up. "Pink what're you doing?" She asked. "I was just dancing" The fusion of Steven and Connie said. They noticed that they fused. "Pink this is completely unacceptable. Unfuse or I'll make you" Blue Diamond said. Ruby and Sapphire fused and stood in front of the fusion (A/n- you don't know their name so) "you'll gonna have to go through me" She said. "And me" Pearl said. She ran towards Amethyst and fused with her. They stood in front of Garnet. "And me!" You said as you ran down to them and stood in front of them all. "And me!" A fusion of two Jades said. You looked at Garnet. She shrugged. "I knew it. I knew I couldn't be the only one" The fusion of the two Jades said. Yellow Diamond destabilized them. She than started to destabilize you. It hurts. You felt like your whole body was getting sucked out of energy. Than you poofed and the only colour you could see was black.

A/n - HOLY FUCKING WHITE DIAMOND!! 548 READS?! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?! So okay you guys are obviously are the best and deserve even more chapers but since I'll be doing 'Change your mind' next I want to know if you want to fuse with Steven. And yes, it would be your first non abusive fusion ever. Except for Lapis imprisoning you and Jasper at the bottom of the ocean. So I really want you guys to tell me if you do.
