Lilly walked into Hellsing manor, as Walter took care of the car. Sir Penwood was sitting on a couch. "Oh Miss Lillia, it is good to see you. I am so sorry about David."

Lilly nodded her,"Thank you Sir Penwood, I appreciate that. I am not sure why I am here so early."

Penwood cleared his throat and quietly stated, "Enrico Maxwell and Father Anderson are here on church business."

"So, wanting permission to burn heretics?" she said with a smirk. " I thought the church didn't need permission."

"Ah yes, Miss Lillia, always quick with the tongue. I would say, go find something to do until they leave." Penwood nervously smiled.

He had trouble grasping the humor of the present situation.

"Walter said I could ride a horse until the meeting. I will be at the stables if you need to find me," replied Lilly.

With that, the blonde turned for the door to leave. The young woman walked down to the stalls, studying the ten horses. She noticed a large, black horse in a stall away from the others. Lilly walked to the side of the stall window. This horse lunged it's head out and snapped its mouth to bite.

She simply talked softly then  stroked the horse's nose. It took time before the horse settled enough for her to "blow" noses. The stallion started to lick and chew in response. Lilly then went and proceeded to grab some brushes with a long portion of cotton rope. It took a good hour to groom and fashion the cotton rope into an Indian war bridle. Lilly figured the horse didn't like saddles pinching or a bridle pressing, on the pol of its head. She slid the jaw loop over the bottom jaw, then slid the reins over the stallion's head.

The woman led the stallion out and took him to a sand arena. The blonde used body language to get the horse to circle her. Lillia spent another hour just 'futzing' with the stallion. When she thought the horse would let her ride, she stripped her skirt off and jumped on the back of the stallion. Lilly had spandex shorts on, the ones high school volleyball players wear. She felt it was no big deal, but it would eventually be with someone else, with a nasty jealous streak.

She was riding around the estate when she heard men yelling and gun rounds. Lilly trotted the horse over to the shooting range. Sure enough they were what looked to be mercenaries practice shooting.

"Hello gentlemen?" she said as she waved.

"Bon Midi mon cherie," said a mercenary with brown hair, in a thick braid. His accent was definitely French. "May I introduce myself, I am Pip Bernadotte and this is the Wild Geese."

"I am Lillia Steiger, pleased to meet you. So practice shooting? May I watch?"She politely responded.

"But of course, it beats having an angry vampire watching," Pip snorted.

"Alucard..." Lilly replied with a disgusted look on her face.

"Oh know him, well?" Pip asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Know him enough..."

Lilly watched for about an hour until the horse was finally getting restless. "Pip love, could you have the practice dummies be moved around?"

"But of course mon cherie, how do you want them setup?" the Captain asked.

Lilly walked with the men, telling them where to place the dummies. Of course, she was only wearing the shorts and the halter top. Lillia had even kicked the boots off and so was walking on the grass barefoot.

(Author's note: no not smart for humans to walk without boots on with horses.)

The Wild Geese walked with her and moved the dummies with no complaint. If someone was watching, they would say the humans were enthralled AND someone was watching, from the manor. The horse just followed without being held.
