Remus Lupin

"Come on, (y/n), run faster!" Sirius urges as the girl falls back behind them, five Slytherins not far from where she is. "Faster! They're going to get you, slowpoke!"

"I'm trying Black! Do you think I would slow you down on purpose?!" (y/n) manages to yell back even when her lungs are burning from running. "Try hexing them, why don't you?"

"Great idea! Levicorpus!" James says, pointing his wand to the pimply Slytherin running ahead of the group. The two behind him stop to help him (as if they can) but the other two continues to run after the three Gryffindors, pulling out their wands.

"Uh-oh," Sirius says. "Shit! James, run! (Y/n), could you go a little faster? Just a little more, come on."

"Wait, let me just," James says as he focuses on the taller of the two Slytherins and yells, "Petrificus Totalus!" Sure enough, his curse hit the target and he whoops at that. As (y/n) reaches them, Potter brings out his invisibility cloak and pulls it over their heads. The last of the Slytherin running after them stops running and looks around, confused. From the small gap in the cloak, (y/n) points her wand to him and whispers, "Confundo." At that, the Slytherin walks off, scratching his head, more confused than he was a minute ago. Seeing his face, James, Sirius and (y/n) laugh their asses off, removing the cloak as they did so.

"That was so close!" (y/n) says after a good two minutes of laughing.

"Yeah. I wonder how he would tell their gangly leader where we were when he doesn't even know what he was doing in the first place," James adds, clutching his stomach.

"Man, that was fun. We should do that more often!" Sirius says.

James, Sirius and (y/n) are the three well-known pranksters of Gryffindor. When they first met, actually, (y/n) got on their bad side and Sirius declared a prank war. After some time, the war became too boring so James had a brilliant idea to "combine their ideas together" and thus, the trio. The prank that they'd just pulled was on the Slytherins who found it funny to bully the first years and (y/n) didn't like that one bit so she initiated this prank. Unlike others, they don't use this for fun. They actually use it to get back at people who do things they think are wrong. So, basically, they tell themselves that what they do is "not technically that bad." But Lupin beg to differ...

"Where in the castle have you three been again? Do you know what time it is? It's eleven!" Remus says as the three burst into the common room, still laughing. The scene is always like this. James, Sirius and (y/n) do something funny and Remus is always at the ready to scold them – more on (y/n) than Sirius and James but does that stop them? Not really.

"Sorry, father, we lost track of time," (y/n) answers, rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, Moony. Don't be so grumpy about it. We were not caught, see, we're here!" Sirius says, putting his arm around Remus. Laughing slightly, he then pulls James into their dormitories to play God-knows-what, leaving Remus and (y/n) alone.

"That was not funny (y/n). What if the Slytherins got you or worse McGonagall? You're not the only ones who will get in trouble. I'm supposed to be patrolling and if she sees you three, she'll think I'm just letting you do what you want considering you're my friends," Remus starts.

"Look, Remus –"

"And don't you think you're too old for that? We're in sixth year already and you're still so... immature," he finishes.

Whatever (y/n) has in her mind is lost. She suddenly feels anger bubbling inside her so she says instead, "You know what? Stop fucking meddling with my life. And I'm not the only one at fault here, James and Sirius are with me. Did you tell them that? No! So fuck off!" (y/n) yells, not caring whether somebody hears her. He had no right to call her that when his friends were also doing the same thing.
