< 💣 B POV 💣 >
I absolutely hated being drunk. That's a lie. I didn't do it often lie and the morning after was always horrible. Not so much a lie. When I was drunk I lost my whole sense of self preservation and shit like that so when I woke up on Sunday morning, alone in my house with a pounding headache, I knew that I had gotten extremely drunk and that there was an 80% chance that I had done something extremely stupid while drunk. And, when I zombie-walked into the bathroom and my hair was falling out and I had gone to bed with my makeup on, that figure increased to a 90% chance.
So apprehensive, I clambered out of my dress; tugged the hair tie out of my hair; pulled my fingers through it; and stepped into the shower.
After a refreshing shower, although I still felt groggy, I stepped out of the shower again. I grabbed my towel and wiped my face with it before walking in front of the mirror. And I that was when screamed.
What the fuck was on my neck! I approached the mirror and poked it. Which hurt like absolute bitch. Omg, he didn't! But he fucking did! 'Emmy'! I hollered to my second consciousness. 'What?' She asked before realising and exclaiming 'Oh, I told him not to do that...' 'Well thanks' I replied, my tone laden with sarcasm.
I searched through my memories of the previous night and slowly priced together what I believed had happened.
I was in the forest. Jackson was next to me. We were talking. I did.. something? Jackson went all weird. I did more stuff. Jackson marked me.
I sighed with relief knowing that my wolf hadn't betrayed me and done something against my wishes. If Emmy had of done something as treacherous as letting Jack or Luke mark me, I would have had to be angry and disappointed with her, effectively meaning I was angry and disappointed with parts of myself. I know that anger and disappointment in parts ones self is a prime trigger for accentuation of those feelings to encompass ones whole self, leading to mental health issues such as depression, and I did not want to go there, any more than I already am.
I was also relived to see that I had not been marked willingly. I had fought relatively valiantly against my marking and had done almost all in my power to prevent it.
Due to the bite mark on my shoulder I now had a stronger bond with Jackson and could feel his emotions and, more prominently, his feelings. Emotions are stuff such 'happiness' and 'anger', which are simply mentally generated as responses to outside stimuli whereas feelings are physical feelings such as 'pain' and 'hunger' which are again mentally generated, but this time with lesser control, as responses to physical stimuli about the human body.
When I had gotten changed into some bike pants, a sports bra and a T-shirt, I went to the flier length mirror near the window in my room. Unlike lots of werewolf books, published or available in the human world, my mark wasn't fancy. It didn't have a swirling tattoo or wolves howling up at the moon, instead it just looked like an animal had bitten me, which one had, and the bite hat healed and scarred - badly.
I could feel slight spurts of anger coming through the bond and I was happy he was angry, particularly due to the fact I could detect that the anger was solely directed at himself.
I'm kind of wondering why I'm really not that mad that he marked me. I mean, yeah I'm annoyed but shouldn't I be fuming? I should be ready to go ape shit in him but I'm not! I guess the reason is because there is no need for me to be. This was bound to happen someday if Jackson and I continued to coexist in close proximities to each other. And, the truth is, me being marked meant absolutely nothing to our situation, other than him not being able to fuck anyone else because I would feel greater pain than before and he would therefore feel my pain, which is not what someone wants whole having sex with s girl who thinks your single, or should think your single if she has any morals or fucking standards. (That was a great unintentional pun)
I walked downstairs and got Charlie's food ready. "Charlie, baby!" I screamed when in the forest. Surprisingly, she came ambling through the trees with her tongue lolling out of her mouth, and bounded straight up to me. I whispered sweet nothings to her as I scratched her behind her surprisingly fluffy ears. She had cleaned up extremely well and was also making excellent progress. It put a small smile, which turned into a full on grin when she licked me, onto my face.
It made me so happy that, no matter the events of the past few days, even though she's a dog and probably won't know the events let alone judge my character in them, someone still looked up to me, idolised me and depended on me. it made me proud, gave me responsibility and a reason to fight and continue fighting. Charlie was my sole reason for living. (And my friends and Chris and glossy, but they would be emotionally effected whereas Charlie would be physically effected.
I kissed her goodbye, after giving her her food and hugging her, and I ran off into the forest. I had managed to acquire some maps to the woods and had basically 'mentally scanned' them and uploaded them onto my brain. I kept running for twenty minutes until it stopped, breathing hard. As I emerged from the trees and stared at the base of the cliff formation, the second grin of the hour appeared on my face and I knew, despite the sketchy start to the morning, today was going to be a good day.

A much more lighthearted chapter for you all.
I'm sorry that this is so late....
I've been dealing with the holiday blues
Anyway to be in the watty awards this book has to be finished by the 15th which is in 1/2/3 days!
Luckily, I'm going on a car drive and two planes tomorrow (technically today... In 4.5 hours) so I have heaps of time to kill by writing enough chapters to finish this book so aka another seven chapters (or another 12) and the epilogue
But luckily again I already wrote the last chapter when I was writing chapter 4 or something of this book cause I needed a goal. but unluckily my friend wants a different ending so I might post one of those again
