Lol jks jks. I figure that if I do a few word a night like 300 or something, I'll have this mother ducking chapter done this week. Let's hope so. And let's hope it doesn't suck balls.

< 💣 B POV 💣 >

I woke up in the kitchen at 1am and immediately realised that I had to get out out of the house. I had to go for a walk or a run or a drive or just something. However, the car wasn't in the driveway. I thought I parked it in the driveway. I went to the forest yesterday. The car must be parked near there.

Still half asleep I trudged outside, grabbing some keys and locking the door as I did so. I walked down the road towards the forest but I couldn't find the car. Nevertheless, I could smell the car.  And I could smell Jackson all over the car. Jack's smell was fresher so he had to have visited the car after me, probably trying to find me, and he probably followed my scent into the forest.

It was at this moment that I realised my leg had somehow healed. I didn't understand how I had managed to recover in such a short amount of time if I was told I would heal like a human. In fact, I felt surprisingly physically healthy. I had healed from my cuts and bruises and other injuries. The only things stopping me from being in peak physical condition was the fact that I was still underweight and still wasn't getting enough sleep.

Sitting down at the edge of the forest, I extended my claws and removed the cast off my leg. My diagnosis was correct and I was completely healed, enabling me to run off into the forest following earlier me and Jackson.

Up ahead I smelt something weird. It smelt slightly familiar, but mostly it smelt like meat and death. Slowing my pace, I crept towards the smell, finding the body of a medium sized animal. The animal was black and white with four legs and a tail. This would have made me think it was a wolf if it was bigger, but because of its small size it was probably a dog. Its long black and white fur also lead me to believe it was a collie.

And then it dawned on me. I had thought the smell was familiar because I knew the smell of dead things, when in actual fact, I knew the smell of the animal. It was a collie, a border collie, and her name was Charlie. And she was murdered by the monster.

>-<

"Jackson!" I screamed into the forest with tears streaming down my face. I felt like Charlie was the only thing anchoring me to the shore and now that she was gone I was drifting... drifting... drifting...
"Come out here you murderer!"

There was no reply to my call. I knew what would attract the monster. I extended my claws once again and this time I cut slashes into my thighs.

As soon as I did it, I knew it would be a bad idea. The monster would not just come, he would angry. And an angry monster, despite being easier to provoke, would be much harder to beat. I effectively had a death wish.

The minutes ticked by as I leaned against a tree. 1, 2, 3 and then rustles came from bushes to my right. Jackson emerged from the trees with its claws outstretched. I was wrong, he wasn't angry - he was furious.

Soz it's short, at least it's updated. I'm trying but it's hard to wrap up all the loose ends as well dealing with school and dancing 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 haha lol no

Anyway, I'll hopefully get all the story done and edited by my friend by the end of the year. I'm thinking of making the edited version into its own book because I like this one. It has character. But the the edited one will be a nicer read with an easier to search title so yeah...
