I rush through the compound looking for Natasha. I finally find her walking along side with Fury. I run up to them making them turn to me.
"Apex we were just looking for you-
"Nice to see you too Fury I need to talk to Nat. It's really important to me." I say not tearing my eyes away from Natasha who's confused.
Fury raises an eyebrow at Apex and as he notices the look in Apex's eyes when she looks at Natasha and he sighs.
"5 minutes. You're needed in the conference room after." He says then walks away.
Then it's just Natasha and I in the hallway in silence.
"Look we need to go-
"They can wait." I say softly stopping Natasha as she tries to walk away.
"Are you here to bash me more?" She flips her long hair over her shoulder then crossing her arms over her chest and I close my eyes with a sigh.
"Natasha I'm so sorry I was a dick." I say.
"A huge dick." She nods.
"I'm really sorry babydoll I was being a brat. It's just that I've been a bit insecure." I confess rubbing the back of my neck and she's surprised by my answer.
"Why are you insecure?" She asks.
"I don't know I feel like I'm not good enough for you and feeling down maybe I'm getting my period or something." I say.
"You don't have a period." She furrows her eyebrows amused.
"Oh, right. I am sorry though Natasha, a lot. I should've told you I went out racing. And you and Bruce are friends I shouldn't be jealous you guys have known each other for a long time-
She cuts me off by softly kissing my lips.
"You're cute when you ramble and you're more than good enough for me." She says and a small smile comes across my lips.
"Do you forgive me?" I ask.
"Yes I do forgive you love." She smiles.
"Phew! I huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Good thing Madison helped me-
"Madison?" She asks.
"Yeah she called me this morning and I told her what happened and she gave me advice." I say and she hums.
"You're not jealous right?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"Me? Jealous? Of course not." She says unconvincingly.
I peck her lips multiple times.
"Good cuz she's just a friend." I assure kissing her.
We then start a slow loving make out session. Then a throat being cleared makes us pull apart and it's Steve.
"Apex you're needed." He says with a faint blush.
"*sighs* Fine fine I'll go save the world." I say playfully making Natasha nudge me with a small smile.
As we near the conference room muffled yelling was heard. Knots were building in my stomach, not having a good feeling.
"What's on the other side of this door Steve?" I ask not wanting to go inside and he's hesitant to answer as he opens the door himself.
We step in and everyone stops and looks in our direction. Everyone was there and this man I don't recognize.
