Disney Dreams

Chapter 8

I woke up this morning to the smell of bacon and a sizzling pot. I heard pots banging and a male voice mumbling. Suddenly I sat up in bed, scared that I possibly slept walked into someone else's room!

"H-hello?" I said quietly. suddenly the banging and mumbling stopped. The door that separated the villas bedroom and kitchen creaked open.

A familiar face popped in the room. "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty!" Tanner said cheerfully. "how are you feeling, Princess?"

"Great!" I said cheerfully. "why wouldn't I be?" I pulled back my covers and stood up for a split second, as a sharp pain sot to my ankle. I gasp and began to fall, unable to stand on my right foot. Soon I remembered about the rock, the tram, and Tanner.

"Hey, hey take it easy!"Tanner said, catching me. He held me up in his arms for a moment, and suddenly the pain, the smell of burning bacon, everything was gone. All there was, was me and him.

He helped me to the kitchen, one arm around my waist, holding me up, and the other hand pulled out the chair at the kitchen table for me. I sat down and thanked him. He stared at me for a few moments. the smell of charcoaled bacon started to fill the air, bringing back to earth. Had to throw the bacon out. So we just ate toast.

After that I got dressed and Tanner carried me to the spa. "I thought I told you to go do something without me!" I said, in his arms.

"Pfh! Whats the fun in going to the park by yourself?" He said.

"Thank you." I responded. He smiled and nodded. We approached the spa and stayed for a while, but that got boring real quick, so we decided to go to the pool instead.

The pool and hot tub was empty, everyone out at the park. I limped over to the hot tub, my ankle feeling some what better. Tanner joined me. We talked for a long time, sharing our hopes and dreams, likes dislikes. Everything.

I knew Tanner better then anyone after a few hours of talking, it felt like I've known him forever. By the time we got out of the hot tub, my ankle felt 100% better! The swelling went down and there was no more pain!

I got a towel, starting to dry off so we could catch dinner. Tanner came up from behind me and threw me into the pool. I laughed as I got out to get a clean towel and we walked back to the villas.

We ate at the Magic kingdom, at Tony's Town Square Restaurant, and walked around for a while, taking it easy. We went to Cinderella's Castle and watched the princes and princesses dancing.

Tanner offered me his hand. "may I have this dance?" He asked. I raised an eye brow at him. He laughed. "let's try that again." he got down on one knee, bowing "Princess Carissa of Walt Disney World, would you care in offering me this one dance?" I laughed and took his hand.

I made a mental note to myself to thank my mom for forcing me to take ballroom dance lessons when I was 12 and 13. I was okay at slow dancing but Tanner was amazing! He knew exactly what he was doing and how to lead. Thats what worried me. Does he normally slow dance with girls?

"So Tanner, whats your girl friend like?" I asked. He laughed and I raised an eye brow at him again.

"Im single." he said, laughing. "There is this one girl I really like though, I'm just not sure how she feels about me." He explained. My heart ripped in half, then was stomped on, but in the grinder, and then was put in the paper shredder into pieces as little as sand. Or at least thats how it felt. But I gave him a small smile.

"Whats your boyfriend like?" He asked, looking curious.

"Single. I-" I almost told him how i've never had a boyfriend, or been kissed, and never been on a date. "Im more into the Disney guy characters." I explained.

"Ahhh yes, the Disney princes." he said, mocking me.

"Not just the princes!" I exclaimed. He laughed.

"Yes because something about dr. facilier is so attractive." he mocked.

"No! Like Hiro, John Ralph, Kuzco, Aladdin-" I started.

"Aladdin married Jazmine! So therefore he is a prince! And Kuzco-" He interrupted.

"Is an emperor, and then theres Kristoff, Jim Jawkins!" I continued, I could seriously go on forever but I could tell he got my point. "Anywho, I have my excuse for being single, whats yours?" I asked.

"I told you!" He exclaimed.

"Nu-uh!" I argued.

"I like someone." He answered.

"Like?" I asked. "or liked, cuz since your moving you might have had a crush there or you met someone recently-"

I never got to Finish talking because Tanner pulled me close, his lips brushed mine lightly. He loosened his arms around me, allowing me to pull away if I wanted but I pulled him closer and kissed him back, my heart pumping so loud I could swear he heard it. It was me! I was the girl he liked! He just didn't know if I liked him to!

His strong arms pulled me closer. We both pulled away slowly at the same time and he pulled me into a hug.

I pressed my ear against his chest, listening to his racing heart and we stood there, neither one of us saying anything, just enjoying this moment.

Tears started rolling down my cheeks as I realized that sometime, this all was going to end. I was going to go back home and continue my last year of high school, while he left and we would go our separate ways.

"Hey, hey, hey, whats wrong? Is it me? I'm sor-" he asked, as he pulled me from his chest to look me in the eyes. He took my hands, whipping away my tears.

"Its not you, its just... this week, it will come to and end and we will go out separate ways and I always imagined that my first kiss would be with someone I was serious with but we cant be serious because long distance relationships never work and I wouldn't want to do that to you!"

"I promise you we will figure something out, princess, lets enjoy the time we get and as the end of the week gets closer we will figure something out." He said. He kissed me once more, and I stopped crying.

"Okay." I whispered.
