Before going to bed, I opened my curtains, like always to see the sky before I go to sleep.

The neighbors house's room that was across from mine had it's light on. Curious, I watched the shadow in the room for a while, until finally, the person opened their curtains.

I couldn't believe it. It was Tanners room. I grabbed my phone, and texted him:

Me: Hey, open your window.

Tanner: why?😳

Me: 😒 just do it!

Tanner: 😏 finnne

He opened his window and I waved. He looked confused but waved back. I grabbed a piece of paper and wrote:

So your my neighbor? Well this is... interesting. Please though, I beg you, don't blast music all night long! It drives me crazy! I cant stand those kind of neighbors!

Then I made a Paper airplane and threw it to his window like from The PaperMan, a Disney short story, my favorite short story of ALL TIME actually.

It seemed as if he had the same idea cuz before I sent my airplane, A paper airplane flew through my window.

It said:

Hey neighbor! What are the odds huh? We were neighbors in Disney World, and now we are neighbors again! But PLEASE Carissa, a guy needs his beauty sleep, please don't blast music late at night!

I laughed. Great minds really do think alike. I sent a last airplane, it had 'Goodnight' written on it.

I woke up with an airplane stuck in my hair. No, not a real one, another paper one. I read it. Inside it neatly had, 'sweet dreams, princess.' written down.
