Natalie's P.O.V
December, 2 Months Later
The twins are now three months old, and I am finally back into my normal sleeping pattern. Being married is the toughest thing I have ever gotten into, but then again I am happily married to Chris, and we have the most beautiful set of twins boys I have ever laid my eyes on. Elias and Percy are now making noises, they hardly ever cry, and they recognize certain voices, like Chris and I along with Brock and Lauren. I hardly ever talk to Hannah anymore which I hate, but since I've had the twins we don't have time to do anything together. My final OBGYN appointment is three days from now, and I am praying that everything is okay with me.
Chris has signed on for the new Captain America: Civil War movie, in which he will be reprising his role as Steve Rogers/ Captain America. I am happy for Chris, but then again I am also scared. Filming doesn't start for a while, but when it finally does that means either Chris will leave the twins and I to go film, I will have to leave the twins with Brock or my mom, or Chris and I will have to take the twins to the set of the movie.
As much as I love Chris and our little family, I think that we rushed into the whole relationship, not even thinking about the consequences that we would face from some actions we had committed. I'm not saying that anything was a mistake, but I'm not saying that we didn't rush into things either.
Three Days Later
I am so thankful for my mother. Today, because of my Doctor's appointment, my mother drove an hour and a half to watch the twins with Chris for me. Although my mother and I weren't close before now, with my father getting sick, and everything that has happened lately we have grown so close and more loving towards each other than we ever before.
Before I left, I gave my mother and Chris the information they would need in order to watch the twins for at most an hour and a half. When I got into the Range Rover, I turned on the radio and listened intently as I drove down the interstate towards Boston.
When I pulled into the Doctor's office parking lot, I turned the radio and car off, quickly getting out of the car. Once inside the building, I signed in at the receptionists desk, and waited for my name to be called. About 20 minutes later my name was called, "Natalie Evans?" A nurse stated more as a question searching the room with her eyes. I quickly stood up, and followed her into a room. I sat down on the examining table, as the nurse started to instruct me, "Alright, Mrs. Evans we're going to take a routine urine test, to check for signs of anything abnormal."
"Abnormal?" I asked, and the nurse looked at me with a reassuring smile.
"Yes, abnormal levels of hormones," She replied, "That's all."
"Oh..." I stated trailing off.
The nurse handed me the cup, and I took it into the adjoining bathroom, and quickly peed. When I exited the bathroom, I put the cup into a ziploc bag, and the nurse collected the bag from me, "The results should be back soon, when they are Doctor Wayland should be in to see you." The nurse said, and left the room, closing the door softly.
I read the pamphlets that sat in a tray on the wall, and around 30 minutes later Doctor Wayland came into the room with a smile upon her face, "How are you Mrs. Evans?" Doctor Wayland asked.
"I'm great." I replied returning her smile.
"Great, I have some good news, but before I tell you, I need to ask you some routine questions. " Doctor Wayland said.
"Okay?" I stated more as a question.
"When was the last time you had sexual intercourse?" She asked.
"About 6 weeks ago." I replied.
"Okay, have you had in bloody or dark colored urine?" She asked.
"Nope, not that I know of...." I replied trailing off thoughtfully.
"Good, one more question, and this one isn't routine, how are the twins?" She asked with a smile.
"They're great, they are both making noise, they are in a normal sleeping pattern now, and they have finally rolled over on their stomachs." I replied with a smile of my own.
"That's great," She replied with a smile on her face, "I saw them in People magazine a few months ago." She added.
"Really?" I asked with a hopeful smile upon my face.
"Yes, they were absolutely adorable, and you and Chris looked so in love." She replied, returning the smile.
"Thank you, but sadly with twins, we really don't spend that much time together." I said with a frown on my face.
"Well, it seems that you spend just the right amount of time together, your urine test showed that you were indeed 6 weeks pregnant." Doctor Wayland replied with a smile.
"What?" I asked softly, not believing what she had just said.
"Mrs. Evans you're pregnant."
