Natalie's P.O.V

The Next Day

After hearing what Cooper had said last night, I hadn't got one second of sleep, I kept hearing his voice say, "I'll make your life a living hell." Over and over again all night long. But the show had to go on, so here Chris and I sat in the waiting room of the Doctor Wayland's office, I read a magazine, whilst Chris skimmed through his twitter. We waited multiple minutes, and instead of scheduling an actual appointment with Dr. Wayland, we decided that with my birthday celebration, we would just get an ultrasound today, which was fine by me. The nurse that would be conducting my ultrasound soon popped out of the door, and called my name, a smile occupying her face.

The ultrasound went routinely with the nurse named Patricia, pointing out feet, hands, and other body parts. Suddenly she smiled happily, and looked at me with an enthusiastic look upon her face, "Would you like to know the sex of the baby?" She asked.

"Of course," I replied waiting for her to tell us.

"It's looks like you're having a little baby girl, congratulations." Patricia says smiling at Chris and I.

A single tear falls from my eye, and in that moment I am so happy I can hardly contain myself. Throughout my life, I had always dreamed of getting married and having a little girl that I could pamper and buy adorable clothes for. When Chris and I found out that we were having two little boys, my heart kinda of fell, not because we were having two little boys, but the fact that I was probably not going to able have a little girl.

We quickly thank her for giving us an ultrasound, and after paying the copay, Chris and I make our way out to the Range Rover. Once I get in the vehicle, and buckle my seat belt, I notice that Chris is watching me intently with an almost unreadable look on his face, "What is it?" I question, looking at him with a frown.

"I just thought maybe we would have another little boy," Chris started, but I interrupted him.

"Another little boy? Chris, aren't you tired of little boys?" I ask with a laugh, clearly joking. Although, I am happy that I am having a little girl because it's always been my dream and all, but I would have been just as happy to welcome another little boy into our family.

"Never, "Chris starts with a laugh of his own, "I wanted to name our next kid Maverick Blaze, but we obviously can't name a little girl that, now can we?" Chris finishes more as a question than anything else.

"I'm sorry, babe." I reply giving him a small kiss on the lips.

"It's okay, but if we ever have another little boy, you can mark it down, that will be his name." Chris says with a laugh, as we pull out of the doctor's office parking lot and onto the crowded street. We pick up the boys at Brock's house, and make our way to the interstate to go to Cape Cod, where my parents are hosting a family birthday party in my honor.

As we drive down the road, Chris and I listen to 70s on 7, which is weird for us, but it's the only the station that doesn't bother the boys. I listen intently as the song that was on ends, and Devil Woman by Cliff Richards comes on, I laugh to myself, thinking of all the times my mother and I have sang this song, and I began to serenade Chris as he drove, "She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind, beware the devil woman, she's gonna get you.....She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind, beware the devil woman, she's gonna get you from behind..." I sung, looking at Chris laughing every now and then between verses.

"Tell me about it..." Chris said trailing off, I punched him playfully in the bicep.

About 30 minutes after I had finished my song, we pulled onto the long driveway of my parents house. When we entered the house, I greeted my parents, and then took the boys upstairs to change them into comfortable clothes, that they could play in. I put the boys into a onesie, and a pair of turquoise and navy striped pants. I then took them downstairs, and laid down their quilt in the family room floor, so they could play with their toys, and crawl around.

No later than an hour and a half later, everyone that was supposed to come arrived, and we were about to eat dinner. Chris had planned to tell everyone about the gender of the baby at dinner, so it wasn't surprising when he stood up from his seat, and tapped his fork against his glass, "I'd like to make an announcement, "Chris started, and smiled at me in a reassuring way, "In less than 5 months, we will be welcoming a baby girl." He finished with a triumphant smile on his face.

Everyone clapped and congratulated us on the news, and after dinner and presents, we all settled down in the family room, where Brock stood up with Elias in his hands, and smiled at us, "I have announcement to make today too, Lauren is two months pregnant, and we're getting married." He says with a huge smile on his face. I congratulate Lauren who is sitting beside me, and I give her a tight hug.

We all ended up staying with my parents, and we all slept well, that is except for me. I couldn't help but have bad feelings, I couldn't get over what Cooper had said to me, and I knew that I had to tell Chris about it. As we lay in bed, I nudged his shoulder, and he turned over to look at me, "What is it?" He asked a questioning look upon his face.

"I saw Cooper last night," I started, a frown on my face, "And, he said that he would make my life a living hell." I finish, breathing a sigh of relief for getting that information off my chest.

"He's all talk, I can assure you that." Chris says brushing a few strands of hair out of my face, and kissing me gently on the lips.

"I love you." I say as we separate from the kiss.

"I love you too, now get some sleep, babe." Chris replies, and I roll over and surprisingly drift off to sleep easily.
