Natalie's P.O.V

After my doctor's appointment, I drove home in silence. I thought intently of a way I could break the news to Chris. Sure, Chris and I had talked about having a large family somewhere down the road, but by no means did we mean that we wanted one right away. Chris and I both grew up in a medium sized family, I had two siblings, and he had three. I just hoped that Chris would take the news well, I knew that if he didn't I wouldn't know what to do.

I pulled into the drive way and drove the 200 yards to the garage. I quickly parked, turned the car off, and  got out making my way towards the door. I placed my key inside, and unlocked it. Once inside I made my way upstairs and changed clothes. When I had successfully changed into a pair of yoga pants, and my old Harvard pullover, I made my way towards the stairs. Finally, I made it down stairs and went into the family room, where my mother was watching the boys play on their mats, "Hey, momma." My mother greeted me with a smile.

"Hey," I replied returning the smile as best as I could.

"Is something wrong?" She asked with a questioning facial expression.

"Where's Chris?" I asked avoiding her question.

"He is looking over a script in his office, " She started, "Now, tell me what's wrong with you Natalie Elizabeth." She finished with a stern tone to her voice.

"You promise not to tell Chris?" I asked with frown.

"I promise..." My mother said trailing off, clearly waiting for me to tell her.

"I'm pregnant, again." I replied quietly.

"Natalie, that's nothing to be ashamed of I was in your same position 26 years ago, exactly one month after I had you I found out I was pregnant with Brock." She replied with a reassuring smile on her face

"Really?" I asked with a small smile.

"Yes," She started, but was cut off by Percy's shrill cry. I quickly made my way over to him, and checked his diaper. As I had thought Percy had peed, I excused myself and made my way upstairs to get him a diaper. On my way back down the hall, after collecting the diaper, I noticed a stream of light coming out from under the double door in Chris's office. I decided to deliver the diaper to my mother, and then come back to talk to Chris. Once I made it downstairs, I handed the diaper to my mother, and rushed back up the stairs.

I knocked softly on the door, and waited until I heard his voice from the other side of the door, "Nat?" I heard Chris ask.

"Yeah," I started as I opened the door, and made my way into the room sitting across the desk from Chris.

"I was getting worried, I thought you would never come home." He cut me off, before I could add anything.

"I've been home for at least 30 minutes." I replied with a soft laugh.

"Oh, you should have came in here," He stated with a smile, "So, what happened at the doctor's appointment?" He asked, changing the subject.
