"Hey babe I'm home!" Ian yelled out from the doorway, he slipped his boots off and his jacket. He dropped his bag onto the floor, noticing Mickey standing in the kitchen. He looked confused with a piece of paper in his hand, reading quickly.

Ian walked over to his boyfriend and rested his chin on Mickeys shoulder, "what's that?" He said making Mickey crumple it up and throw it away from him.

"What it's noth-nothing!" He shouted in shock, Ian took his chin off Mickey. "Are you ok?" He mumbled, Mickey nodded quickly.

"Uhmm ok I'm gonna go to the washroom.." he said his sentence slowly dying down as he walked to the bathroom and shut the door. Mickey grabbed the paper off the floor and quickly smoothed it out as good as a could, he continued to read it.

"Is there something you have to tell me?" Ian said heading out of the bathroom, by now the paper Mickey had crumpled up was lying nicely on the counter. His cheeks were glistening from the tears that slowly started to dry, "why are you crying? What happened?" Ian became worried. Mickey just sighed and wiped his face, "can you uh promise me you won't freak out?" Mickey whispered looking at his hands.

Ian shrugged, "depends, please tell me what's going on though" Ian begged, Mickey slowly nodded. "Please don't make a big deal.. I just can't handle that right now.." Mickey trailed off looking up at Ian's face. Ian just nodded.

"You have what?!" Ian screamed, he was frustrated at the world and himself and everything by now. Except for Mickey, "Ian please.." Mickey begged. "No, no, no no!!" Ian screamed walking over to the couch, grabbing the remote control and slamming it onto the floor making Mickey jump at the loud noise.

"Ian stop.." Mickey whispered, trying to keep his emotions in, "no, you can't! You can't have cancer Mickey.. you can't.." Ian trailed off. His body shook with anger and sadness and confusion, why Mickey? Why did the world have to be so fucking cruel?

"Ian it's ok.. take a deep breath. I'm ok..", "no! You're not ok Mickey! You are dying, the love of my life is dy-" his words got caught off from the lump in his throat. He took a deep breath in and eventually looked up at Mickey.

His eyes were so beautiful, his lips perfectly plump and luscious, his nose pointy and smooth. His face structure was just perfection, his muscular arms that always had Ian's mouth watering, his muscular legs which had Ian's body do weird things to him were perfection. His perfectly round ass that had Ian's dick throbbing was perfection. Mickey was perfection in Ian's eyes, he was what Ian wanted forever and always. And now the cruel world did this to this beautiful man.

Mickey stared back with a soft expression, he managed to stay mainly calm. He finally lifted his arms in an inviting manner, Ian stared at his stretched out arms before his lip started to quiver and Mickey moved his hands in a sort of grabby way. Ian eventually gave up and his lip quivered more as he rushed into Mickeys arms and nuzzled his face into his lovers shoulder. He stood there as his sobs got louder and stronger while his shoulders shook with sadness. It was those sobs that are so unattainable that they become so harsh and loud, those heart wrenching and chest aching sobs. The sobs that make basically your whole body physically hurt and make you just shake with sadness and you can't control how pained you are in that moment.

Ian's tears and snot dripped onto Mickeys green t-shirt but Mickey didn't care, he just hugged tighter onto Ian and tried to stay calm himself. Although tears still rolled down his cheeks and landed on Ian's shirt forming a small wet spot. Ian's hands clutched harshly at Mickeys shirt and his arms wrapped around the smaller boy making sure he was there, he was in Ian's presence. "You-you can't have cancer. You ju-just can't!" Ian cried out, it was so loud but he couldn't help it. His Mickey was suffering from a stupid disease that he couldn't fix.

Ian knowing that he was helpless, that he couldn't save Mickey from dying made his tears come faster down his face. It made his chest hurt from trying to gasp for air but at the same time sob out continuously. Mickey himself was aching of sadness, he's never had to see Ian this broken. He's never seen emotion like this from anyone, maybe except for when his mom died and Mandy had seen it all unfold. But this, this was different. He couldn't make Ian stop thinking about everything that could happen to him, he didn't even know how to stop his thoughts himself. Mickeys thoughts were scaring him, and sure enough Ian's were too.

Eventually after a good 30 mins of standing there, wrapped in each other's arms while weeping, Ian had somewhat calmed down. He ended up laying on top of Mickey on the couch, hugging tightly onto him. Usually it would be Ian underneath but Mickey insisted Ian needed more cuddles than himself.

"I love you so much Mickey"

"I love you too Ian, a lot"

"Please don't leave me Mick.. please don't leave me.."

"I'll try my hardest Ian, I'll try for you baby"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

"Fly high Mick" Ian mumbled, he sat on the grassy ground, his knees rested lightly against the tombstone. His feet tucked under his thighs, while his finger grazed against the letters of Mickeys name. He was so numb that no tears rolled down his face. He just slightly smiled, thinking of all the good memories of him and his husband.

Yes husband. The couple decided to marry each other a month after Mickey had learned about his cancer. He stayed alive for another year after that, Ian and Mickey had the time of their life in that whole year. Although Ian had to slowly watch Mickeys body become weaker and weaker and his jet black hair eventually coming all out.

Mickey Gallagher-Milkovich passed a week after their first anniversary. Ian couldn't cope with life for a good month until he knew Mickey needed him to stay strong.

This was only the second time Ian visited Mickeys tombstone. The first time being the day after his burying.

"I wish I could've been you.. I would've done anything to take that cancer away from you. I guess we don't always get what we want. I'd do anything to see you again, I want to see that handsome smile again baby" he chuckled to himself, Mickey was such an affect on him.

"I better get going Mick, I'll be back for you soon my love. I love you, you know that?" Ian sat there staring at the words engraved into the tombstone, somehow expecting a response that he'd never get.

In loving memory of Mickey Gallagher-Milkovich
Loving husband, brother and father
Rest easy Mick, I love you

Ian smiled and slowly stood up, he stared up over the grave. His eyes searched through the thick trees, his smile soft. Ian outlined the words one last time with his long fingers before taking a deep breath, turning around and heading to his car.

"I love you Mick" he whispered out loud.

"I love you too Ian, so much".
