"I'VE GOT THAT SUMMERTIME, SUMMERTIME SADNESS"
I was rudely awaken by an alarm.
Once I realized I didn't set an alarm I remembered that Ally ended up sleeping over last night after spilling some tea about my date with David.
Which by the way, went fantastic.
She had come back, exhausted from her parent's house. Arriving a day earlier because a business trip had come up for them, she decided to crash at my place.
It was Saturday and the freaking alarm wouldn't stop.
"Shuuuut uuuuup" I whined to no one in particular, dragging my words.
I had half a mind right now to toss ally's phone out the window. After a few minutes of internal debating, I decided against it knowing that she'd probably have a fit.
If it weren't something as expensive and important as a phone it would've been scattered on the floor in pieces by now. But since ally has an unhealthy obsession with Lana del Rey and her phone, 'Summertime Sadness' kept blasting through her phone.
The music doesn't even phase her in her slumber. She could literally sleep through a zombie apocalypse.
And hat scares me.
Mustering all the strength I could find to move myself out of bed, I turned off the alarm.
All of the sudden it hit me.
The Omaha County Dance was only a few days away. Which meant that Ally and I would be shopping for dresses the whole day.
Talk about nightmares
This was one of the many events that Omaha would have that I hated. It was a fundraiser, which is why I would go every year. Not only do we have to dress all fancy but you have to bring a date. Fancy means dresses, heels, makeup and all that other girly crap.
Every year I've gone, I've gone with my brother but now that he moved back to California a few months ago, I don't have anyone. I highly doubt Jack would ask me. We aren't even on speaking terms.
After what felt like hours of me thinking, Ally finally woke up.
"Good morning," she said while yawning.
"Morning"
I got out of bed heading for the bathroom with no enthusiasm at all.
"Guess what tomorrow is," Ally squealed.
Ally was too much of a morning person for my liking. She was loud, I could tell she was right outside my bathroom door. I finished washing my face and mouth and I opened the door only to reveal ally with the biggest smile on her face.
"Yeah, Its the day I've been dreading since they made the announcement," I said annoyed.
I was not looking forward for today at all. In fact I wasn't even planning on going.
But have you met Ally?
She doesn't take no for an answer.
EVER.
And every year I hate it. Maybe if she sees that Jack might be there she won't force me. If he's gonna be there with a another girl I definitely don't wanna be there.
