//Jack//
"Look Ally, I'm sorry okay!"
"No Jack, sorry isn't gonna fix it," she countered.
"Well what do you expect me to do! I can't change the past," I asked growing frustrated.
"Fix it! You hurt her Jack! She still loves you!"
Ally had showed up at my doorsteps, which took me completely by surprise, and began ranting on how I've hurt Elena.
"You don't think this is hurting me too! I love her okay. Nothing will ever change that."
I sighed putting my head in my hands, wishing she understood.
"Then do something about it Jack! Elena is over there thinking you don't even care for her anymore."
Ally was waving her arms all over the place and we were both screaming by now.
I took deep breaths in hopes to calm her down as well.
"Ally I can't. You don't understand. I just can't," I closes my eyes praying my headache would go away.
"Would you care to explain."
Ally went to the couch and sat with her arms crossed over her chest.
I went to go join her on the other end.
"Ally if you love Elena and you know that I love her, it's best for me to stay away."
I was trying to hint things at her but it obviously didn't work.
Her facial expression gave away the fact that she was not putting two and two together.
"Jack just spill it, don't beat around the bush. I mean it's not lik-"
She didn't even finished her sentence before her fists started attacking my arm.
"YOU BETTER NOT HAVE GONE BEHIND HER BACK AND CHEATED ON HER WITH ANOTHER GIRL! JACK FINNEGAN GILINSKY I WILL CHOP YOUR BALLS OFF IF YOU HURT MY BEST FRIEND LIKE THAT!"
I grabbed her hands because her punches actually hurt.
Geez, she's strong.
I sighed knowing this was gonna be harder than I thought.
"I would never hurt Elena like that. Ever. but I wish that were the case beca-"
Ally immediately interrupted me.
"Excuse me, what do you mean you wish that were the case! What is wrong with you Jack. I was actu-"
Now it was my turn.
"Ally! listen to me and wait until I'm done talking. Please," I begged.
She smiled apologetically and nodded for me to continue.
"What I meant was I think that would be better than having to forcefully ignore her and going through the pain of not being with her."
She still looked puzzled, so I continued.
"My mom wants me to ignore Elena. She's oblivious to my feelings and thinks L is a distraction. I can't talk to her, it'll crush my mom."
"Wait..why is your mom doing this?"
Ally was now calm and less frustrated, which was a good sign.
"Because it's my senior year and she wants me to focus on my studies and get into a good college, she agreed to pay for my full tuition" I sighed, tugging at the top of my hair in frustration.
"Jack, your 18 for crying out loud, take control of your life. Make your own decisions. Tell your mom how you really feel," she reasoned.
"I can't ally, My mom has been through enough. I can't hurt her like that. But I don't want to keep hurting Elena either."
There is no way I can choose between my mom and Elena.
"Well Romeo, I suggest you do something fast because your Juliet is getting swept off her feet by her new neighbor."
"Wait... whoa! hold up.... What neighbor...What is going on?"
Ally let out an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes, waiting for me to finish rambling.
"Some Prince charming moved in next door to her. He already asked her on a date, and she said it went really good," Ally scoffed with a bored look on her face.
"I take it you don't like him," I chuckled.
I was curious. I mean any guy that has ever been interested in Elena, Ally had to approve. It took months for her to warm up to me.
"Are you kidding. I mean he's cute and all but you and Elena are really meant to be together," she threw a genuine smile.
I stayed quiet not knowing what to say. I had so many thoughts and emotions circling my brain.
"Jack, like I said before they've already been on a date and god knows when the next one will be," she sighed, worry flashing through her eyes.
I clenched my jaw and curled my fingers into a fist. Just knowing she's potentially cuddling a guy back at her apartment makes me sick.
I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I don't expect Elena to just wait around for me.
"Ally, you gotta help me, what should I do," I pleaded.
Ally gave me a devious smirk. She enunciated her words carefully, making sure I didn't miss a thing.
"Ask her out," she rolled her eyes as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Ask her to be your date for the dance. Surprise her! Do something romantic and spontaneous. But I would hurry because I'd be surprised if David hasn't asked her yet ."
I ran my fingers through my hair for the billionth time today.
"Ally I don't know if I should, I mean chances are he asked her already and if my mom found out she'll stop my college fund."
Ally looked down at her hands that were sitting in her lap, knowing this was gonna be tougher than she thought.
She finally met my eyes while slightly biting her lip, "I'm afraid only you can make that decision Jack, follow your heart, no matter how cliche it sounds, it's true."
She was right.
Warmth settled itself in my chest and I knew what I had to do.
I'm gonna fight for her, even if she won't take me back I want her to know that I will always fight for her.
"This is not gonna be simple is it?" I sighed, running a hand over my face.
As she saw me, a grin tugged at Ally's lips as she got up and grabbed her purse.
"My work here is done," she smiled.
On her way out the door, she paused and gently patted my back.
"I know you'll make the right choice."
And with that she disappeared.
