Cold winter nights are the worst. It was a gloomy Sunday night, and all had been calm and quiet at the Davis residence.
Well it was until Ally came over an hour ago. I've been thinking about just turning the living room into her room because she's always here.
Not that I'm complaining.
"Have you and Jack worked things out yet?" she asked.
I looked down at my hands that were resting on my lap and shook my head.
"We haven't spoken since Wednesday," I frowned.
"Have you tried talking to him," she persisted.
"No. And I don't intend to," I rolled my eyes.
Ally gave me an annoyed look went to the kitchen. What he said really hurt me, especially since it wasn't true. David and I hadn't even gotten to second base yet, let alone had sex.
"Be the bigger person L, seriously it's ridiculous how much y'all get mad at each other," she reasoned.
"Ally, I'm perfectly happy with David," I sighed.
"Lana please be careful with him," she warned, grabbing a soda from the fridge.
I scoffed, "Are you kidding me Alls? Don't tell me Jack has been filling your head with the whole "He's not who he says he is" crap," I quoted with my fingers.
Ally rubbed her temples with both her index fingers and sighed. I didn't understand nor did I want to hear any lies they've come up with about David.
"God you're stubborn," she chuckled, taking a sip of her soda.
"What did Jack tell you," I asked, walking back to the couch.
"Nothing you don't already know," she remarked, trailing behind me.
I flopped on the couch and chewed on a red sour patch kid, letting out a huge puff of air, annoyed.
"Do you know why Jack hates me so much," I mumbled.
Ally shook her head sympathetically and turned back to the tv at the same time my phone rang. I clicked the answer button and put it on speaker when I saw David's name appear.
"Hey cutie"
I turned and smirked at ally and she just rolled her eyes.
"Hey davey."
I purposely made my voice high pitched and girly, causing Ally to stick her tongue out while putting her index finger in her mouth, making gagging sounds.
"I miss you," he cooed from the other line.
"Aw, I miss you more."
"Come see me later yeah?"
I kept my eyes on Ally but genuinely smiled and nodded at his offer. Realizing he couldn't see me, I spoke up.
"Sounds perfect." I gushed.
"I'll see you later love."
I hummed in response and the line went dead, as Ally stared back at me with a bored look on her face.
"What's with you?" I asked bumping my shoulder against hers.
"I don't like him," she blurted.
"Wow, jealous much?" I joked.
