Two weeks.
It's been two weeks since I've seen or talked to Jack. He never texts me back anymore.
Peeking at my alarm clock, it read 10: 15am. Turning my gaze to the window, it seemed like it would probably snow tomorrow, so i decided to have a lazy day.
I scrolled through my contacts and found "Alls".
Me: "Get over here, we're having a lazy day today."
Ally: "alrdy on my way to ur house. be there in 10 min."
The whole Jack incident gave us a chance to grow alot closer and that was truly a blessing in disguise.
To kill time i decided to prepare everything in order to have a succesful "lazy day". I went upstairs and changed into black leggings and put on a grey knitted sweater. I slipped on grey fuzzy socks to match.
Walking into the bathroom I grabbed my brush, running it through my knotted hair. I threw it up into a messy bun and took off my contacts.
I stood wearily in front of the mirror just staring at my reflection and realized this is the real me. The girl in the nerdy glasses, plain brown hair and dull brown eyes to match.
My buzzing phone, brought me back from my trance. Peeking over my nightstand, I internally prayed that it was Jack asking how I was doing today. Or maybe an apology saying what an idiot he's been for not texting me back.
It was a text from ally.
Ally:
stopped to get some junk food.need anything?Me:
nope I'm good.. don't go too crazyShe sometimes gets a little too carried away and i have to end up dragging her food wasted behind back home.
Ally:
Yes mom!Me:
hurry up loser.Ally:
says the one with no lifeMe:
whatever, hurry up.Ally:
loveeeee yuuuuuu.I after I finished texting ally i went to the closet in the hallway by my room and grabbed a bunch of blankets and pillows. I made my way to the living room while trying to balance 8 pillows and 5 blankets. Clumsily, I tripped over the lamp cord, sending the pillows and blankets flying from my grasp.
I mentally cursed at myself, now looking at all the blankets all over the floor and the pillows scattered as well. Right then and there, ally walked in and immediately started laughing hysterically once she saw the sight before her.
Talk about perfect timing.
"Shut up and help me clean up" I said trying to put a serious face, but failed miserably.
"Hi to you too" she said sarcastically.
She stood there with an amused face. I took this moment and analyzed what she was wearing.
Ally had on black leggings with a white hoodie that said "Get LOst" and beige uggs. Her jet black hair hung loosely over her shoulders and she only had on mascara but you could barely tell because of the thin frames hanging from her temples.
Ally dropped the Publix bags in the kitchen counter and walked back over to me. She was trying to stifle a laugh.
I made no effort what so ever to move from my current position.
