Christmas had come and gone. You spent the day with your family. The morning was spent with everyone politely taking turns opening gifts and having a large breakfast. At the end of the day, you had a nice dinner together. Then it was over.
A few days had passed and now you and Tony were preparing for your friend Christmas party. This would be when you would finally exchange your Secret Santa gifts.
Luckily your parents allowed you to have your friends over and they were going to a party of their own. So the house was yours for the night.
After picking up and getting yourself ready it was almost time for the party. Entering the kitchen you found Tony setting out snacks on the table. Just after sitting down at the counter the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," you said, standing up again.
Opening the door you found a group of people behind it. In came Thor, Bruce, Loki, and Carol. A little ways behind them was Shuri, T'Challa, and Bucky. They all came in giving hugs, greeting others and taking off their coats and shoes.
After that people were coming in quickly. You were basically living at the door from the constant ringing. Directing those coming in where to place their gifts and giving them all welcoming hugs. And before you knew it the house was full of all your friends.
Everyone was either in the kitchen or the living room. Separate conversations drifted through the house. The energy was content and buzzing with excited.
You were sitting at the table listening to Tony, Rhodes, and Natasha. Occasionally you would add in something. But, for the most part, you just listened happily. They began talking about conspiracy theories and it brought others into the conversation.
"What do you mean the moon landing was faked?" Steve asked, clearly offended by the idea.
"I'm just saying, we don't actually know," Tony said taking a sip from his soda."
"For all we know, this is all just a simulation," Rhodes added. "Maybe we're not even real. Maybe we're just made up characters from a T.V. show. Or maybe even a book."
Steve looked back and forth between the two. Dumbfounded by their statements, unable to say anything.
"I don't even think the moon is real," Clint said, breaking the silence. "It's just an illusion. Cast by the aliens to show their power will always be more dominate than ours."
"Alright, now that's some straight up bullshit," Rhodes said.
"No, no, no, continue Clint. I must know more," Tony eagerly said.
"I can't do this," Steve said covering his face.
"And why not Stevie," Tony said, turning toward him.
"Because all science proves that all of this is bullshit. Back me up Bruce!"
Everyone's mouths dropped at Steve's profanity.
"Steve, that's not a very nice word," Bruce stated.
"Yeah, I know. But I couldn't hold back. You're all being idiots," as he finished talking he walked out of the room.
You all exchanged looks with one another then burst into laughter. Who knew the football captain would get so upset over some stupid conspiracies that no one actually believed.
As the night continued the group slowly congregated in the living room for Secret Santa. You all sat in a circle as best as you could, some being forced to squish together.
"Alright," Tony said once everyone was sat, "Let's get this started. I guess we'll go one at a time. We'll reveal who it was from after. Let's see who's going first." He picked a present from the pile at random. "Brucie!"
