Twenty Four

Valentine's Day. A holiday known for love, cheesy red hearts and couples being extra mushy.

You already found the holiday ridiculous but now you had to go to school and face the boy who was slowly crushing your heart. How fun!

Knowing what was ahead of you lurked your mind through the night and the morning while getting ready for school. Finding out your parents would be leaving for something business related the same day did not help. 

When you were told the news that your parents had to leave right away you could already hear the gears working in Tony's brain. Giving him a glace you saw a mischievous spark in his eye. He was planning something big and whatever it was you would hate it.

The second your parents were out the door Tony pulled out his phone and began texting away rapidly. You attempted to see what he was doing by peaking over his shoulder but he easily dodged you.

"Get out of here snoopy."

"No. What are you planning?"

"None of your business."

"Tony, if this has something to do with people coming to our house then it is my business."

"Okay! Fine. It's nothing big just like a small party with everyone that's single from our group. And hey, that includes you!"

"Ugh, why do you do these things?"

"What, be great and handsome all at the same time?" he asked, running a hand through his hair.

You punched his shoulder causing him to let out a whine.

"Listen, it's not going to be anything big. Just the group, besides Vision, Wanda, and Carol who have other plans. But anyways, Shuri will be there so you'll have your best friend with you," he finished, showing his texts to show Shuri confirming she'd come.

"Okay, fin-" you were interrupted by a new text, one from a particular boy you didn't want to think about today.

When Tony heard the chime he attempted to pull the phone away from you.

Fighting back you began yelling, "You invited Peter?! What is wrong with you?"

"He's part of the group too!" he yelled, ripping his phone from your grip.

"Okay, fine. Fine. But don't expect me to be apart of the party. If he's there I want nothing to do with it. So you can count on me to be hiding in my room all night."

With that, you picked up your bag and headed toward the door. You figured it'd be better to wait outside for him or else you'd probably punch him somewhere that'd hurt a lot more than his shoulder. Sadly he didn't seem to get that you were mad and chased you outside.

"No, no, no, no! Please, just come hang out for a little bit? The second Peter gets there you can go off and pout in your room."

You glared at him.

"There will be food. Lots of it too. I'm making everyone bring something."

You sat in thought. Food did make it a tempting offer.

"Why do you want me there so bad?"

He sighed in defeat, rubbing his face, "This is so embarrassing. But if you must know, my friends like you more than me and want to hang out with you."

A grin spread across your face, "I knew it! Deep down I always knew I was the cooler Stark!"

"Whatever. Just agree to come so I can forget this ever happened."
