When school finally ended you made a quick stop at your locker then went to find Tony. You made your way to the senior hallway knowing he'd be there, at his locker or talking to his friends. Taking only one step into the hallway you already knew where he was. Surrounded by all of his senior friends.

Although you were related you weren't sure the two of you had much in common. You both had sass, that was for sure but other than that you felt completely different from him. He was somehow liked by everyone even though he could be a bit of an ass, was very full of himself and of course he loved being surrounded by people.

You on the other hand hate being surrounded by people, are mostly quiet and hate talking about yourself. Tony is also a million times smarter than you and way more talented. At times you weren't sure how you survived in a school full of such gifted people.

Avengers High School is literally for gifted people whether in arts, sports, science, maths, literally anything. If you were abnormally good at it you went to school here. You felt you were only here because your parents could easily afford for you to be.

Slowly you made your way toward the group. "Tony," you said trying to get his attention.

He looked up from the group, gave you a cheeky smile then went back to talking. You rolled your eyes then leaned against the wall of lockers knowing it would be a while until him and his friends finally parted ways.

Thor turned his head then did a double take when he saw you, "y/n!"

"Hey Thor, how are you?"

He gave you a bone crushing hug making you groan, "I am great! How are you? Are you excited for the new school year?"

"I'm okay and I'm not exactly excited for the school year. But, I do have some classes with Loki so that's fun."

"Loki! I love him! Where is the little trickster anyway? I think I'm the one that's taking him home."

"It's been a little bit since I've seen him."

He looked up thoughtfully, "Well I better be on my way and go find him." He said his goodbyes then jogged away from the group.

You looked back toward Tony, "Can we please leave now?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, just give me a minute."

You watched as he shoved a few things into his locker then slam it shut. He bid everyone a goodbye then began to make his way out of the school. You gave a small wave and quickly gave Natasha a hug because she was your favorite.

"What, no hug for me?" Clint asked as you began to walk away.

You just waved at him with a snarky smile then chased after Tony. Once close enough behind him you slowed your pace.

You pulled out your phone that had just vibrated then ran right into Tony's backpack before you could even look at the screen.

"Ow," you said referring to the pain in your chest. "Why'd you stop walking you asshole."

You walked around him to find a dazed look on his face. You began waving your hand in front of him but nothing happened. So you looked where he was looking to find Virginia Potts who was talking with her friends that were laughing at something one of them had just said.

You rolled your eyes at him then grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the school. On the way out you ran into the principal. A big scary guy that never smiled, wore only black and had an eye patch. You gave him a nervous smile then continued out the doors.

There were many rumors on how Mr. Fury lost his eye but the most popular was that he used to be a secret government spy and lost his eye in a fight with aliens. You weren't so sure about the fighting aliens but he definitely seemed like the kind of guy that would be a government spy.

But no matter how he lost his eye everyone still feared him. In fact he was so terrifying most students never went to him when they needed to. Instead they would go to the assistant principal Ms. Hill. She was nicer and had an easier face to look at.

Finally in the parking lot you were marching to Tony's shiny red and gold car when he finally spoke after the whole staring incident.

"Who was that girl?"

"Huh?" you asked, your thoughts still on your maybe secret spy principal.

"The girl we saw in the hallway. With the long strawberry blonde hair. Is that what it was? I don't know, whatever, that's not the point. Do you know her."

"Yeah, her name is Virginia Potts. She's a senior and way out of your league. Now unlock the car doors before I start screaming."

"Excuse me, no one but me is out of my league."

You scrunched your face in confusion, "What?"

"It- never mind. Why do you think she's out of my league."

The car doors finally unlocked and you got into the passenger seat, throwing your bag below you, "She's not necessarily out of you league, she'd just never go for you."

"And why is that?" Tony asked as he started the car.

"Well let's see, she actually cares about school."

"I care about school," he said pulling out of the parking lot.

Choosing to ignore him you continued, "She is a dedicated, hard working person."

"I'm hard working."

"She's student body president and oh, she would never in a thousand years want to date some dumb playboy that goes through girls faster than anyone can say his name. Also when have you ever cared about school? Do you even plan on going to college?"

"I do plan on going to college and I am very offended that you think I'm only into girls."

"What college do you-wait! You're into boys? Have you dated any?"

"Well, sort of."

"What's that mean?"

"I've hooked up with a few but have never dated any."

"Who'd you hook up with?"

"Um, just some people no one you know..."

"Oh my god, Tony! Who did you hook up with that we know!"

"Okay fine! I kissed Steve just the one time! We both knew we'd regret it but we still did it. But I couldn't help it, I mean have you seen those lips? And that ass?"

You cracked a smile, "I think everybody has dreamed of touching that ass."

He glanced over at you with a sly smile.

"Did you touch it?!" you shouted.

"Maybe."

"You said you just kissed!"

He lowered his glasses at you, "When have I ever just kissed someone."

"I'm jealous. I can't believe it, I'm actually jealous of you."

He let out a small laugh, "Yeah, but nothing else happened. He's got a big crush on Buck, so."

"Oh, I see."

You drove for a moment in silence when Tony finally broke it.

"So do you really think I have like zero chance with Virginia, god that's a terrible name, or do you think I have a slight chance."

"I think you could have a chance. You'd just have to tighten up a bit, still be yourself but slightly more sophisticated and less arrogant. Oh and don't tell her that she has a terrible name, that won't end well."

He nodded taking in all of your notes, "But you think I have a chance."

You nodded, "Yeah, but don't expect to get her right away."

The car pulled into the driveway and you both got out. Once in the house it seemed as if the conversation never happened and you both went to your rooms.
