Twenty Seven

After a few more weeks of suffering through school spring break had finally come. It started with you bothering your brother, playing Animal Crossing, texting your adorable boyfriend, and staying up until an ungodly time of the night. Then slowly the days began blending together, all being the exact same.

That was until Tony came barging into your room unannounced.

"Get packing! We're going on a trip!" he yelled, causing you to yelp in surprise.

"I thought we weren't going anywhere this year?" you questioned after gaining back your composure.

"Well, now we are. So get packing."

"I thought dad was too busy with work."

"Well, he's not coming. Neither is mom."

"Wha-?"

"Get packing! We're leaving tomorrow," he said, slowly closing the door as he spoke.

"But where are we going?! And for how long? What's h-?"

"Just pack!"

The door clicked shut and you were left alone in your room with thousands of questions.

"I just wanted to stay home and play Animal Crossing," you said, staring longingly at your switch.

Luckily you were able to text some friends and figure out what was happening. You threw together a bag and anxiously waited for the start of your spontaneous road trip.

The next morning you stood in the driveway with Tony. You both had bags slung over your shoulders, ready to go.

"So, how did you rent a car?" you asked him.

"Technically mom rented it. I'm just driving it."

Your eyebrows scrunched together as you looked at the giant van in front of you, "Yeah, okay."

After tossing your bags into the back you got in the car, buckled up, and left the house. You were flooded with excitement as you drove to pick up the others.

The first to be picked up was Rhodey. When you pulled up into his driveway he argued with you from the window for the passenger seat. Finally giving up, you let him have the seat.

Next, you picked up Thor and Loki. Thor was as excited as ever and Loki was as moody as ever. Afterward, you went to get Bruce, which resulted in you being shoved into the very back of the van. After getting Steve, Loki was shoved into the back with you.

The last to be picked up was Peter. Once in front of his apartment building, he came running out with a backpack and giant grin. When he got to the van he pulled the door open to be faced with Thor.

Thor stepped out of the van, took his backpack and ushered Peter to get in. You scoot to the middle seat to make room for him.

When he sat down he looked over at you with his goofy grin, "Hi."

"Hi."

"Everyone buckled in?" Tony asked as Thor slammed his door shut.

"Yes sir!"

"Alrighty, here we go!" Tony called and cheers from everyone else followed.

A few minutes passed in silence when Steve finally broke it, "Tony, could you please turn on the air conditioner.

"Yes, grandma."

"Yo, pass back the aux cord," you yelled to Tony from the back.

"You better not play any shit," Rhodes said, throwing it back to you.
