Breath of Music
Y/N's POV
"Y/N, we have a mission," said Zenitsu shaking me.
"Can't be bothered," I said groggily as I turned my head sideways looking at the wall.
"Y/N, get up!" he pleaded as I turned my head and looked at him.
"No," I said before turning my head into the pillow.
"Fine, I am going to tell Shinobu," he said as I gripped his haori silently pleading him not to.
"Well, I guess you're awake now," he said laughing.
"Zenitsu, I need to get ready," I said as he left the room waiting outside.
TimeSkip
"So, where are we going?" I asked as Zenitsu looked at me. We were sprinting through the thick woods and soon came to a stop.
"Um, I don't remember," he said as I sighed.
"Please don't tell me you were so scared till you FORGOT," I shouted as he covered his ears.
"Ouch," he said as I smiled.
"No, but like seriously, did you forget?" I asked as he sighed nodding.
"What does Chuntaro say?" I asked as Zenitsu sigh.
"You know I don't understand it," he said sighing as I laughed.
"My Kasugai Crow is really stupid as well," I said sighing.
"Well, so what do we do now?" I asked as Zenitsu fell asleep.
"Huh?" I said looking at him on the ground.
There was a demon, right in front of us. Yet I didn't notice it. I quickly assumed a battle stance and got ready.
"Breath of Music- 2nd Form- Rhythm of Disarray," I said rushing towards the demon slicing it quickly. However, it was regenerating faster than I thought and I jumped back and leapt off the ground.
"Fourth Form- Hushed Harmonic Blitz," I said slicing faster and faster. The demon was regenerating so quickly and suddenly, I felt a blow to my stomach.
I couldn't even respond to it, it was too quick.
"Upper Moon 6?" I said in surprise as I looked at the demon who kept silent.
I guess Muzan replaced the previous one
He grabbed my arm and twisted my arm making me drop my katana. He twisted my arm harder and I muffled my screams. He used his Demon Blood Art and a swarm of snake-like creatures appeared from the ground swarming me. It wrapped around my whole body surrounding me like a cocoon. I couldn't move my arms and Zenitsu was still asleep. The snakes surrounded me tighter as I looked around seeing what I could do.
I can't breathe!
I could hear my ribs cracking under the pressure and suddenly, and immense pain ruptured through my chest. Tears started pouring out of my eyes as I tried to keep calm and think of anything.
My ribs have been shattered
My spine has cracked
I think my lungs have been punctured.
I tried to breathe in slowly to keep my body alive but I could feel my head become light-headed as I hung up in the air trembling. My eyes were burning, my sight is blurring out.
I can't see anything anymore.
The snakes flipped my body upside down as I closed my eyes slowly.
"Zenitsu, stay safe," I said crying even more as I felt the snakes biting my limbs. I could feel the warm trickle of blood down my limbs. It was eating my flesh bit by bit and every time it sank its teeth in, more blood would trickle out.
I can feel it digging into my raw flesh
I can feel the waterfall of blood
"Y/N!" yelled a voice as I smiled.
"Zeni-tsu, you need to run away, save yourself," I said hoarsely smiling gently hiding away all my fears and pain to reassure him.
I could hear a slash and I felt the snakes release me as I fell to the ground. The cold air was biting and painful against my flesh. I was covered with blood and Zenitsu picked me up gently holding my body.
"I am sorry, Y/N," he said shaking as I felt tears dripping onto the flesh making it sting and hurt even more.
"Don't cry, Zenitsu," I said smiling.
"How can you still smile when you are in this state!" he shouted sobbing as I looked at him.
"I can smile because you're alright," I said as he looked at me and caressed my cheek.
"Y/N, why didn't you run away..." he said sobbing even more.
"It is my duty to protect others, even if it costs my life," I said smiling.
"Zenitsu, you know I will always love you, right?" I said as he nodded.
"Keep that with you, and l-live," I said before closing my eyes slowly smiling.
"Y/N, I am sorry for not being able to protect you, I am sorry I couldn't protect the one I loved so, much, " he said crying.
"I forgive you," I said before my body slumped with all the blood I was holding back gushing and splattering everywhere.
