I find this plot so unethical XD
Y/N's POV
I sat in between all the Higanbana( Red Spider lily) looking at the grave silently. I placed down a white chrysanthemum next to the grave and stared at it.
If you were still alive,
I wonder what I would have said if I knew you were going to die that day
I stood up and walked back to the Butterfly Estate silently as everyone looked at me and sighed.
I don't need to cry to show my sadness
I don't need to break down to show how I feel
I will just keep inside and hope it will disappear
Tanjiro walked up towards me smiling sadly as I glanced at him forcing a smile.
"Are you alright?" He asked as I nodded.
"Yeah, I am good," I said as Tanjiro sighed sorrowfully.
"How about you?" I asked as he looked at me trying to open his mouth to speak.
"Perfectly FINE," said Tanjiro making a weird face and I looked at him blinking several times.
"Tanjiro, you are really bad at lying," I said as he laughed sheepishly.
"Where are the rest?" I asked as Tanjiro pointed at the training centre as I sighed.
"Still hard at work, you should go with them," I said as Tanjiro looked at me in confusion.
"How about you?" he asked as I looked at him forcing a smile.
"I am fine by myself," I said as he nodded and walking towards the other direction glancing at me several times. I waved smiling as he smiled back running off.
Smiling feels like a chore
Its really painful
Tanjiro's POV
"Zenitsu, I want to make Y/N happy but I don't know how to," I said as Zenitsu sighed.
"You could try this method but..." he said as I looked at him curiously.
"But what?" I asked as Zenitsu sighed.
"It is a bit mean," he said as I looked at him in confusion.
"Well, you would have to try and make her love you," he said as I stared at him.
"How is that mean?" I asked as Zenitsu knocked my head before crying in pain. He was rubbing his knuckles that had turned red.
"Well you know, he just died and well it is a bit rushed," said Zenitsu while sobbing.
"Thanks, Zenitsu," I said as he was too busy sobbing as Inosuke started chasing him around.
Timeskip(Y/N's POV)
"Y/N!" Tanjiro yelled as I turned around smiling.
"Hi, Tanjiro," I said as he smiled charismatically.
"Um, I want to ask you something," he said as I looked at him in confusion.
"Sure?" I said as he sighed.
"Well, I wanted to ask why are you always smiling even when you are not happy?," he asked as I stood there in shock as my world suddenly collapsed.
Why am I always smiling?
Even when I am not happy
I am still smiling
"I am smiling for the sake of others," I said without thinking as he stood there in shock.
"Why?" he asked as I sighed.
"I smile because I don't want others to worry," I said sighing admittingly as he wraps his arms around me.
"I am sorry, Y/N," he said as I stood there.
"It isn't your fault that he died, it's my fault for not being strong enough," I said as Tanjiro sighed.
"He died protecting you, Y/N," said Tanjiro as I stood there feeling warm tears drip out of my eyes.
I promised myself not to cry
But yet
I have failed
Again
"Well it was my fault that he had to save me from the demon. It was my fault that he lost his life that day," I said as I stood there feeling the warmth from the embrace.
"It's okay, you shouldn't be filled with sorrow. He did it to protect you and that is all that matters. I am sure he would like you to be happy, Y/N..." said Tanjiro as I stood there listening to his kind words.
"Thanks Tanjiro." I said as he smiled letting go of me.
