Chapter 6

For the next fifteen years Crimson honed her skills and made them even greater. However, like her father she developed her own abilities that were variations to the original Fire elemental abilities. These accomplishments were completed and kept a secret. Always one to be cautious and solitary Crimson subconsciously knew that if her techniques were ever publicized things would become very complicated. The only way to ensure her secrets would be kept secret was to train in seclusion not ever letting anyone know about her progress.

"She was really like Rin in that regard. Always improving herself but, keeping her progress a secret in order to maintain the status quo." Tsuga interjected.

During the years of secluded training she came upon a cove in the southeastern mountain region. This excursion was more of a hunting expedition than training session. She was trying to find more wild game to add to there herds and to find a store of fresh water. By this time in Crimson's life the tribe was used to her long absences and it was no surprise if Crimson was gone for a couple of months. They knew she would produce favorable results.

The cove she found was secluded and eerily welcoming. Surrounded on three sides with steep inclining cliffs. With the fourth side opening out to an immense forest of red barked and red leaved Talia trees. The trees are native to the south and are of the same family of red maple, but the red trunks puts them in a slightly different class. From a distance it looks as thought the trees are bursting through the cliffs. The Talia trees serve as the entrance and exit to the valley cove. There was also a large river that ran through the middle of the valley coming down from the peaks of the mountain tops. Giving mutt evidence that the area used to house a great lake.

"This location could be easily guarded..." Crimson thought out loud as she gazed upon the cove.

Her mind began to race with the possibilities. There was also something that seemed to raw her in as she approached the river that ran through the center of the crescent shaped alcove. Crimson was feeling an excitement that only grew with each second of her being in this strangely familiar area. Or at least that was part of the feeling that she got from being there.

"This would be a great area for me to train in private. I could even use most of my special techniques without much fear of being seen. These cliffs will see to that. This valley has some serious possibilities." Crimson's mind was still churning over the thoughts of what she could do within this alcove.

Mulling over her thoughts Crimson's heart rate began to escalate from her excitement. The more she thought about this strange new area. The more possibilities would present themselves as something completely feasible, not only for herself and her interest but also for the interest of the tribe as a whole. Thus Crimson decided that this place and surrounding area were quite ideal.

Her original assumptions about the alcove were correct. She found that she was able to train herself without any interruptions and that her concentration went way up. Weeks passed and she found results in this hard self training giving rise to even more abilities. The air and atmosphere in this area was different. It was welcoming as if calling to the fire elemental within her. Drawing out her hidden potential. She took her time to practice and hone her new abilities with the alcove. Whenever she could get away from the tribe or was sent on an expedition enevitably Crimson would end up there.

"We mentioned before the this area that Crimson found aloud her to concentrate better and gave rise to new abilities. One such ability would soon become one of the cornerstones of our whole society. This ability was called the Draco Novem Artifex. Referred to as the Nine Dragons or the Dragons Nigh Technique." Tsuga reminded.
