Chapter 13

Rinko returned to Ruber Astrum the Security headquarters. A pentagram shaped building with sharp corners the jutted outward each equal distant to the center of the building forming a star. The ground level had five separate entrances. At the head of each entrance is a statue of his mother. However, his mothers' statues are the manisfestations of the natural elements Fervor - Fire, Aqua - Water, Ventus - Wind, Terra - Earth, and Fulmans - Electricity.

The outside of the building was black Lavarock gathered from deep within the Catori mountains. It had milky white lines swirling through the sheer black surface giving the walls a marble effect. The courtyards that surrounded the circumference of the building was expansive. The area was carefully pruned and primped until every blade of grass was in place. There were four malls facing North, South, East, and West in the middle of the court yard with walkways on either side of the open pools of water that ran the lengths of the paths. The place didn't give a felling of oppression like most judicial facilities but it did have an air of regality.

"That Regality still eminates from Ruber Astrum even today. It's most likely a derivative from Rinko's noble birth." Tsuga interjected. "Anyway it was his home. A place where he was able to relax and think."

The hallways had a tunnel quality to them with there vaulted ceilings and thick wall support buttresses. The hallways lead to a large foyer. In the middle of this room was a desk with staircases leading up to the next levels on either side.

Rinko's strides were long and quick as he contemplated the situation to himself. He moved from the foyer up the stairs toward his private office on the second floor. The flagpole was visible from his office. It was located on the west side of the building. It always has two flags raised one the emblem of Crim Tälias and the Fire Tribe and the other held the emblem of the Security staff. A flaming star incased in a circle behind the outline of a white Dragon.

The two flags waved and slacked from the rise and fall of the wind around it. It was truly a magnificent building and from high up it takes on the shape of a star incased within a circle. That is the security staffs official insignia, however, what the Sages don't know is that Rinko has a personal emblem as well. This symbol is the split yin yang with an outlined dragon in the middle and crossing it are two identical swords. He used this insignia to mark rank amongst his followers and subordinates. It would soon be the indication of the Animus squad, Rinko's personal elite fighting force.

Rinko entered his office once again and sat in his seat behind his desk. His office was adorned with rare objects, confiscated tidbits, and other collected trinkets. He was quite for a long while, thinking about the aura that was getting stronger to the north. An investigation was needed to determin what exactly they were up against.

"I'll take my personal squad with me for this one." Rinko thought to himself while tapping his chin. "I think I know exactly who I need as well." Standing up from his desk and walking out the door.

When he reach the ground floor of the Ruber Astrum, the Animus squad was already assembled and ready to go. He hadn't given the order to assemble, or chosen the select few he would be taking with him on this perilous journey.

"This is most likely going to end badly." He concluded to himself.

As Rinko arrived to the point to be standing at the bottom of the stairs in the foyer. He looked at his personal squad members. He was in awe from their expediency and was about to speak when one of the officers intervened.

"Sir!" She saluted smartly which was a right fisted hand crossing the heart. "We've heard about the Magister Novem Sages plan to send you alone to fight some unknown evil."
