Chapter 10
The feeling around the village was meloncally and morose. A gray over cast of fog settled around the village only adding to the general morbid feeling. Crimson never told anyone from the village except for Turk about her son. And fortunately, Krendar and Shouzan were men of few words. So there was never any real need to worry about the knowledge about her son leaking out to the public. In light of how things turned out Crimson never intended to be famous. The real motivation behindher action were all stemed from her need to protect her families safety and in turn that kept the whole village safe as well.
When the Ol' Sage Krendar gave up his position as a High Sage and marrying Shouzan they became members of her immediate family. Replacing the void she felt with the lose of her parents. That meant that they would become privy to a great deal of confidential information. However, the two men turned out to be a blessing instead of burden in that regard. Keeping mostly to themselves they were highly respected by the other tribal members known for being steadfast and trustworthy. When it came to matters of family. The two of them became even more tightly lipped. They were both excellent Elemetals easily surpassing the Fervor chorus red Dragon Magister Sage level. Meaning that technically they were the strongest in the village. Meaning that their words and actions commanded a great deal of respect.
Rain had a few characteristics that were undeniably Crimson. For example the Ruby red eyes, white hair with red tips, and a rediculously strong ability that utilized all nine of the dragons from the Draco Novem Artifect. His father and the Ol' Sage had a tough time masking them so the secret of his lineage wouldn't be revealed.
The hardest feature to mask were his eyes. They were exactly the same as his Mothers. That sharp angular shape with a knowledgeable exterior that were keen to his surroundings. They also had a dept of thought that was shrouded in mystery. His eyes alwys seemed to be masking his real intentions making him extremely hard to read, but there was also a faintly amused glint as if he was toying with everyone.
Another characteristic that would cause controversy was Rain's white hair with red tips. No other person in the village or world for that matter had that kind of hair. So it was also a dead give away as to who he was. Try as they might Krendar and Shouzan couldn't find the appropriate way to conceal Rain's. Even with his Ruby red eyes his hair was the biggest reason for the choice to conceal him. He was still extremely young albeit powerful. However, Krendar and Shouzan understood that he was the only thing that could oppose the Magister Novem Sages. They also knew that the group wouldn't hesitate to take any opportunity to rid themselves of someone with the potential to overcome there self imposed divinity.
"Speaking upon that supposed divinity." Tsuga made air quotation marks when he said divinity.
The Magister Novem Sages seemed to believe that they should be the only people able to use the Dragons nigh technique. Even though each of them could only control one Dragon. A lunar cycle has passed since the passing of Mother Crimson Crescent Moon and all of the Magister Sages were seated in the middle of the village in front of the bonfire. The elders were also therealong with all the rest of the villagers that reached the level of Sage. The topic was the future of Crim Talias in regard to what direction they would continue to follow.
From the perspective of the Magister Sages. Crimson hadn't passed on the knowledge of the whole Draco novem artifex to anyone person. So the general thought was that the Magister Sages had exclusive rights to the technique because each of them new one part. Since they truly believed this they devised this system in which the Draco Novem Artifec technique created a hierarchy. Where the leadership was directly paralleled to the power of the individual Dragons they were able to control. Fervor being the strongest. Next came celestrial and so on.
