What would Clarke do?

Those words kept echoing in Evelynn's brain as she sat on her bed while everyone else was at dinner.

Monty had tried to visit Clarke multiple times that day with no luck. And the mountain men definitely weren't going to let Evelynn in either.

Monty told her that he saw that the psych ward was connected to the medical ward. He could guess Evelynn's thought process and followed that sentence quickly by, "Lynn, don't be dumb, don't hurt yourself ."

She didn't want to hurt herself, obviously. Her ribs still ached if someone touched her middle a little too hard and she would still get headaches from her concussion. She didn't want anything else to deal with on top of that.

But how could she convince the mountain people she was crazy enough to go to the psych ward?

I mean, she felt like she was already going crazy. Nightmares every night, paranoia about her missing friends, and constant anxiety.

And she missed him all the time. That was definitely crazy.

She figured that she couldn't just go and cause a scene to make them think she was crazy. With Clarke MIA, all these kids were looking to her. And two of their leaders going 'insane'? They'd fall apart.

Evelynn sighed loudly into the empty dorm room as she got up from her bed.

She had to do something.

She figured it be easiest to pick at a scab, per say. Just reopen a previous wound.

Her fingers grazed the left side of her ribcage and she cringed. She could already feel the dull throbbing.

Retracting her hand, Evelynn turned to face the wall by her bed, getting an idea. A dumb one, but an idea nonetheless. She spoke under her breath to herself, "This better work,"

Evelynn winced, placing her hands in front of herself on the wall, "I'm sorry, Monty,"

Before she could talk herself out of this idiotic plan, she slammed her head against the concrete wall.

The force caused her to fall to the ground. As dizziness enveloped her and her vision blurred, she instinctively placed a tentative hand to her head. She looked to find her fingers coated in blood.
