Damnit, I like Deku!

To Class Early!

Midoriya woke up before his alarm.

(Maybe I should go see Recovery Girl before school. I bet she's in her office.)

Midoriya got ready for school and grabbed his yellow backpack. He started to wobble.

"Ah, don't fall again!" Midoriya panicked, but he regained his balance

(I better hurry.) Midoriya had a determined look on his face

He carefully made his way to the elevator and down to the first floor. He went to the kitchen to have a quick bite of breakfast.

Midoriya got a bowl for cereal and sat down at the table all alone.

"Maybe I should go after school instead, what if Recovery Girl isn't there this early? I should have had her heal my leg in the first place." Midoriya was muttering to himself as he ate

"Oi, Nerd! Why're you up this early?" Bakugou asked with his usual scowl, standing a few feet behind the smaller boy

Midoriya flinched like a scared cat then relaxed.
"I could ask you the same thing Kacchan." He said cheerfully turning around to look at the other boy

"Woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, stupid." Bakugou walked closer to the table

"D- do you want some cereal?" Midoriya held the box up

"I don't want any of your dumb All Might themed cereal."

"Okay." Midoriya looked down at his cereal

Bakugou looked to the side then back at Midoriya as if he was trying to figure out what to say.

"Are you... going to Recovery Girl before school?" Bakugou asked like he read Midoriya's mind

He assumed that's why Midoriya ready for school already.

"Yea, I- I thought I'd would be easier. Someone would have to carry my books for the whole day then at lunch they would have to get my food, and I don't want to p- put anyone out." Midoriya nervously finished his breakfast

This was the longest "calm" conversation he and Midoriya have had in a while.

"Hm..." Bakugou was a good distance away with his arms crossed

There was an awkward silence.
Midoriya got up to take the empty bowl and box of cereal back to the kitchen.

When Midoriya came back Bakugou was in the same spot. Arms still crossed, faced still in a scowl, but he also looked concerned about something. Which was both unusual and not unusual for Bakugou. He never cared about anything from most people's perspective.

"Well I'm off Kacchan, uh- see you later... I guess." Midoriya said politely

"Do you want someone to go with you?" Bakugou asked barely audible
(I can't believe I'm even asking.)

Midoriya was confused, was Bakugou offering to go with him?

"You don't have to do that, I'll be fine by myself." Midoriya smiled

"Good 'cause I didn't want to go anyways Deku." Bakugou looked away

(Kacchan's acting strange this morning. Maybe he didn't get enough sleep.)
"I'll... see you in class Kacchan." Midoriya waved goodbye

"Whatever Nerd." Bakugou was still looking away
(Why would he even want help from me?)
