Happy New Year

Lydia being Lydia was holding a party, new years eve party where they can all celebrate together, she specifically said unless you want a lonely year then to bring someone, and I being stiles, the nerdy introvert with very few friends and a human in a pack of werewolves, had no one.

I turned up at the party late, I wasn't actually going to turn up but the constant texts and calls got annoying and then the one from Lydia threatening to chop my balls off in the new year if I didn't show up, the place was filled and I'm surprised Lydia even noticed I was missing "Stiles, You made it" she called through the crowed I had to squint my eyes to see her before I pushed my way through to her, so glad for her loud voice or I'd still be lost "I'm glad you came I have a surprise for you later"

"Oh a surprise" I said clear fake excitement and she chuckled hooking her arm through mine and dragging me to where the rest of the pack was, everyone but me in pairs including the brooding Alpha who hardly spared me a glance as the others greeted me, remind me why I'm seriously head over heels for a man who doesn't even notice me "whats the surprise?" I asked Lydia

She shook her head "you will find out later" she then went and danced with Jackson and I leaned against the wall watching everyone else have fun, it had hardly reached an hour since I been here, and no one spoke to me except for the greetings and I just wanted to go home but I knew Lydia wont let me, so I just stared up at the sky watching time go by, I don't know how long I stood there but when I broke from my staring everyone was stood in pairs and Lydia had started counting down from 10, I couldnt see Derek 5, I could see Paige though 4, he couldn't be far 3, not like I want to watch him kiss someone else anyways 2, I want to go home 1, no Derek

I closed my eyes as everyone cheered and just tilted my head to look up at the sky, my eyes shot open as I felt a pair of lips on mine, Instead of the sky I came face to face with Derek, he smirked at me and leaned in for another kiss which I deffinitly returned and right now I didn't care that he came with someone else he was kissing me and that's all I could process "happy New Year Stiles" was the first thing I heard from him the whole night

"H...Happy New Year Derek" I stuttered out, he moved to my side looking up at the sky as a flash of fireworks went off, and it was then that I noticed the rest of the pack smiling over at us, I looked up at Derek "you kissed me?"

"I did" he confirmed without looking at me

"I thought that, why did you kiss me ain't you with paige" I questioned confused and he started laughing looking back at me "what?"

"You thought I was with Paige?" He said raising a brow "Paige is with Allison, she's just my best friend and always has been" my mouth formed and O and he chuckled "I thought you wasn't going to show up, then when you did I kinda panicked thinking maybe doing this wasn't  a good idea that's why I didn't say hi"

I shook my head "really, is this what Lydia meant by surprise?" He nodded "you set this up with Lydia"

"Kinda, Paige set it up with Lydia and I was kinda forced to accept it and then I saw you stood here so I took a chance"

I grinned at him "so you like me" I said pointing to myself and he nodded "So I can kiss you and you won't try ripping my throat out?" He looked mortified that I even implied that he would and I started laughing "oh god your face" I crossed my arms over my stomach as I laughed "that is the first time I seen any expression on your face other then that grouchy look and that smirk you had earlier"

Derek shook his head and pulled my into his arms "yeah" I nodded and leaned against him "look at me now" he said so I looked up at him slightly tilting my head back to see his face, and it was then that I saw the gleam in his eyes as he smiled down at me "this is long over due Stiles, I love you"

I grinned at him mirroring the smile on his lips to my own "I love you to Derek" he leaned down capturing my lips in his own once again, tuning out the cheers that echoed around us
