It took them a while to arrive at the Loch Lomond in the Lake County California, most of the Drive Stiles was silent just staring out he window, it concerned Derek with Stiles being in this state, he informed Cora about the way Stiles would be and she was told that the pack would give him and Stiles a few days to settle down before requesting a visit from the pair, Derek pulled up to what seemed to be some log cabin, which made Stiles smirk, they went from a house in the woods to a cabin in the mountains, Derek's face softened seeing the small smile on Stiles lips "I thought it was supposed to be a cabin in the woods and a house on the mountains" Stiles commented with a soft chuckle

Derek smiled at the chuckle "true but we are not normal" Derek got out the car then went round and opened the door for Stiles "but that's what makes us so great" Derek put his arm around Stiles waist helping him out if the car leading him to the house "I think it's warmer then it looks in there"

"I hope so it's cold out here" Stiles leaned against Derek as the man chuckled, seeking the warmth of the wolf, Derek lead him inside and it was warmer but only slightly so Derek turned up the heat "it's pretty" Stiles mumbled looking around

"I thought you'd like it" Derek said with a soft Smile, Stiles eyes practically sparkled at the sight of a batman blanket on the back of the couch that was facing a warm fireplace and a TV to the wall on the right and the window to the left, Stiles walked over pulling the blanket off and wrapping it around himself "do you want the fire on"

Stiles nodded, "yeah, but I still prefer to cuddle you for the warmth" Derek smiled and lit the logs in the fireplace "thank you Der"

Derek kissed Stiles cheek resting his hand on the other "anytime Sti" Derek smiled rubbing his thumb gently against Stiles cheek "let me get our stuff inside then I'll give you the warmth you seek" Stiles smiled

It didn't take long for Derek to get everything inside and the things in the allocated rooms, they had Seperated rooms but Derek had a feeling one of them wasn't going to be using there's, even after Derek had told Stiles he loved him they hadn't actually progressed from there other then the bed time cuddles and Derek practically living with them, Stiles still wasn't in the right mind and Derek didn't want to push him, he'd wait for Stiles no matter how long it took him, he was going to fix the boy he loves or at least be there for the broken boy Derek joined Stiles back at the sitting area wrapping his arms around Stiles who silently snuggled closer to the wolf, the silence from Stiles itself was enough to say there was something wrong, the so carefree and cheerful boy had turned to something of almost being empty and cautious of everything he saw, touched or even thought about, it took Derek three weeks to have Stiles not flinch whenever Derek so much as reached for him "Der?" Stiles whispered and Derek hummed in response "I love you" he said before burying his face in the mans chest

"I love you to Stiles" Derek whispered back holding Stiles close to him

Three days had passed and Derek was right the one room was practically permanently vacated other then to store Stiles personal things, despite going to separate rooms at bedtime Derek woke with the small boy wrapped up in his arms with a fear fulled face, Derek didn't mind, he actually just didn't understand why Stiles just didn't come to his bed in the first place and tried to insist on sleeping on his own, he knew why he just didn't understand why he tried so hard, Stiles was curled up into Derek's chest and grumbled when the alarm went off, they had to get up today they where to meet the pack today "Stiles it's time to get up" Stiles just grumbled and tried to bury his face deeper into Derek's chest, Derek let out a sigh and just held Stiles

Derek must have fallen back to sleep because soon there was a voice calling for him "Derek" Cora shouted as she headed into the house, Derek grumbled and so did Stiles as they both just grabbed for the blanket pulling it over their heads not wanting to be bothered "Derek Tyler Hale you better get your ass out of that bed right now" she said swinging the door to the bedroom open with a slam causing both the wolf and human to sit up in shock
