Extra Story 3

"Hmmmm..."

Akashi crossed his arms as he arrived home and saw his children gathered around the centre table, with lots of magazines scattered on top of it, and his children were all having a deep thought

"Then, no one wanted to welcome me?" Akashi asked, and he saw how the three flinched

"D-dad, you are back?!"

"Since when are you standing there?!"

"Go to your room now"

Sekiri, Suu, and Hiroto told him all at the same time

Akashi glimpsed on the magazines, and the three immediately moved, trying to hide them

"If you are trying to surprise me and your mom for our birthday to an out of town trip, then just surprise your mom. Event surprise doesn't work on me"

"Dad, did mom ever surprise you?" Suu worriedly asked

"Well, she surprised me with her impulsive actions. But for events, no, she hasn't managed to surprise me. She only surprised me with gifts."

"Let's retreat. Let's just get something for dad then." Sekiri sighed then they turned around again and stared at the magazines

"There's one place your mom want to go this Christmas"

"Where?!" The three asked at the same time

"Singapore" he answered while removing his autumn jacket "she was telling me ever since she saw a Christmas event promotion video."

"We need to plan out the schedule. When is out off from school, mom's and dad's schedule too" Sekiri told the two

"We need to book flights without her knowing" Suu followed

"And hotel too and of course itinerary for what we needed to do there." Hiroto added

Akashi sighed and chuckled "worry about the itinerary for the whole two weeks"

"Two weeks?"

"I already booked business class for the five of us to Singapore from December 23rd to January 3rd. I already reserved a room for us in Marina Bay Sand Hotel"

"Gosh dad, why are you spoiling the fun" Suu pouted her lips

"Ahre? Dad, our closing ceremony is on the 24th though" Sekiri informed him

"I know. I already talked to your teachers. So there's nothing to worry about."

"You really spoil the fun" Suu again sigh

"I'll let you three decide what to do there. And here" he handed a card to them, "you can use this to plan your itinerary. And don't worry, I won't check the bank statement for this so I won't know what are you up to. Ah, and if ever other people ask you our schedule, tell them that we are already booked from December 23 to January 3rd."

The three was hesitant to accept it, but since they really needed it, they accepted it but again asked an assurance from their dad not to monitor what they would book. Akashi went to their room to change and left the three kids on their own.

The three were still talking on their itinerary but stopped once their father flight down.

"Ah dad, I'll cook dinner soon- Dad?" Suu told him but noticed his dad busy on his phone "dad, you sure are irritated"

"Because mom isn't here" Sekiri whispered "he is always like that if he is here, but then mom needs to be away because of work"

"Even though he is like that too. More than when mom is here and he isn't." Hiroto retorted
