Four months earlier

"Miss, you've got a letter" the maid gently said as she walked into Crystal's room. Crystal was too busy watching her mother's tennis match to see her walk in.

"Leave it on the desk! Thanks" she exclaimed a bit too loudly, shocking the maid. She did what she said and left it on Crystal's desk.

After the game went for a break, Crystal picked up the letter and ripped it open. Reading that she would be going to a new school where the rich and poor were combined, she rushed downstairs to tell her father. "Daddy, I'm going to school in a few days!" she energetically said.

"Yes, darling, I know" the lean, tall, suited man replied. With her father, Jack Lars, being a politician, even though their city was practically a dictatorship, and her mother being a tennis player, Crystal Lars had very different career opportunities to choose from. However, due to how much she admired her mother, Christine Lars, and how much she hated law school, being a tennis player seemed like the better option. Energy was practically her middle name once her dream was set on tennis. Every day she would go on runs, practice her skills and, sometimes, ask her mother for help. Suddenly, there was a day when her father was in need of assistance.

"Miss, your father is expecting you" one of the servants politely said.

Confused, she took the small journey to her father's study and knocked on the door. "Daddy, you asked for me?" she kindly asked.

"Crystal, good for you to be here! Now, remember when you received a letter saying you would be going to school?" her father said, beaming slightly.

"Yes, what of it?" she replied, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Dear, you may not believe me when I say this. There are seven demons in this city that have made seven people your age their hosts. They are known as the Seven Deadly Sins and if they are reunited, they will destroy the wall and try to change our world. Do you understand?" her father explained, leaving her in shock.

"Daddy, why are you telling me this?" she stammered.

"I'm telling you because you are one of the seven who can stop them. You are Diligence, one of the Seven Heavenly Virtues. Your energy and ability to never be lazy or tired of your responsibilities can help to save us all from the Deadly Sins" he persuaded, placing his hands onto Crystal's shoulders.

"Daddy, I-

"No need to worry, darling. You will have the help of six others that are in your school. Remember, the Seven Heavenly Virtues must rejoice once again!"

Trusting her father blindly, she went ahead and researched what the rest of the Heavenly Virtues were, reading them out loud:

"The Seven Heavenly Virtues are Patience, Charity, Temperance, Chastity, Kindness, Humility and Diligence" she read. Knowing what they meant, she knew exactly what to look for. However, she didn't know how she would know when they're a Heavenly Virtue or not.

You will know...

Crystal looked away from her laptop, peering around the room to see where the voice came from.

Believe and it will be...

Trusting the mysterious voice, she closed her eyes. She thought if she used all her energy and willpower to believe that she'll find them, it will happen. Not getting anywhere, she refused to give up but didn't want to try anymore.

UPHOLD! REMAIN! PURIFY! CONTAIN!

The booming voice rang in her ears, screaming to try again and remain how she was before. Fearful, she tried again, only to fail again.
